Fuel LP Fuel Valve Engine 2 Does Not Open

WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE FUEL SYSTEM WIRING, YOU MUST USE TEST EQUIPMENT THAT IS APPROVED (REFER TO INTERNATIONAL OR NATIONAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR INTRINSICALLY SAFE TEST EQUIPMENT: EN50020, UL913 OR EQUIVALENT). TEST EQUIPMENT THAT IS NOT APPROVED CAN CAUSE FIRE OR AN EXPLOSION.

A. Test
(1) At the overhead panel 20VU, make sure that the ENG 2 FIRE PUSH pushbutton switch (on the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL 1WD) is in the closed and guarded position.
(2) Get the Operational Test of the ENG 1(2) LP Fuel Valve 12QM (13QM) AMM 28-24-00-710-002.
(a) Do the job set-up and sections of the test applicable to the Test of the Valve 13QM (the engine 2 LP valve).

4. Fault Isolation(1) At the overhead panel 20VU, make sure that the ENG 2 FIRE PUSH pushbutton switch (on the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL 1WD) is in the closed and guarded position.
(2) Get the Operational Test of the ENG 1(2) LP Fuel Valve 12QM (13QM) AMM 28-24-00-710-002.
(a) Do the job set-up and sections of the test applicable to the Test of the Valve 13QM (the engine 2 LP valve).
1 If the test:
- operates as specified, do Para. 4. C.
- shows that the motor 1 does not operate (when the C/B-4QG is opened and the operation of motor 2 prevented), do Para. 4.A.
- shows that the motor 2 does not operate (when the C/B-2QG is opened and the operation of motor 1 prevented), do Para. 4.B.
- shows that the motor 1 and 2 do not operate, do Para. 4.A. and 4.B.

A. Procedure
The Actuator 10QG Motor 1 Does Not Operate From The Closed To The Open Position.
(1) Get access to the actuator 10QG AMM 28-24-51-000-001.
(a) Make sure that the actuator 10QG and the LP valve 13QM:
(b) Do a visual inspection for signs of damage to the items that follow:
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(2) Disconnect the electrical supply cable connector 10QG-A from the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 (10QG).
(3) Do a test, with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD, to see if the 28VDC supply is available at the connector 10QG-A between the pins as shown in the table that follows:
(a) If the supply voltage at the connector 10QG-A:
(a) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(b) If the fault continues, replace the VALVE-LP FUEL, ENG 2 [13QM] AMM 28-24-41-000-001 and AMM 28-24-41-400-001.
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the items that follow ASM 282401:
(a) The RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 [12QG] .
(b) The CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 [2KC] (part of ENG PNL 115VU).
(c) The ENG/APU FIRE PNL [1WD] .
(d) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(6) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a check of the aircraft wiring AWM 282402 between:
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
Subtask 28-24-00-810-065-A The Actuator 10QG Motor 1 Does Not Operate From The Closed To The Open Position.
(1) Get access to the actuator 10QG AMM 28-24-51-000-001.
(a) Make sure that the actuator 10QG and the LP valve 13QM:
- are correctly engaged together
- V-clamp is correctly installed.
(b) Do a visual inspection for signs of damage to the items that follow:
- the connector 10QG-A and its supply cable
- the actuator electrical related receptacle.
NOTE: Right Wing Wire Routing AWM 940602.
1 Replace (or do a repair of) all the unserviceable wiring and connectors ESPM 2053210. (c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(2) Disconnect the electrical supply cable connector 10QG-A from the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 (10QG).
(3) Do a test, with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD, to see if the 28VDC supply is available at the connector 10QG-A between the pins as shown in the table that follows:

- is correct, do step (4)
- is not correct, do step (5).
(a) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(b) If the fault continues, replace the VALVE-LP FUEL, ENG 2 [13QM] AMM 28-24-41-000-001 and AMM 28-24-41-400-001.
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the items that follow ASM 282401:
(a) The RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 [12QG] .
(b) The CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 [2KC] (part of ENG PNL 115VU).
(c) The ENG/APU FIRE PNL [1WD] .
(d) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(6) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a check of the aircraft wiring AWM 282402 between:
- the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-A, pin A and the RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 (12QG), terminal A3
- the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-A, pin E and the ground point 4002VN(621STA332)
- the RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 (12QG), terminal A2 and the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL (1WD) connector 1WD-D, pin <G
- the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL (1WD) connector 1WD-D, pin <H and the C/B-FUEL/LP VALVE/MOT 1/ENG 2 (2QG), terminal 2.
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
B. Procedure
The Actuator 10QG Motor 2 Does Not Operate From The Closed To The Open Position.
(1) Get access to the actuator 10QG AMM 28-24-51-000-001.
(a) Make sure that the actuator 10QG and the LP valve 13QM:
(b) Do a visual inspection for signs of damage to the items that follow:
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(2) Disconnect the electrical supply cable connector 10QG-B from the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 (10QG).
(3) Do a test, with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD, to see if the 28VDC supply is available at the connector 10QG-B between the pins as shown in the table that follows:
(a) If the supply voltage at the connector 10QG-B:
(a) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(b) If the fault continues, replace the VALVE-LP FUEL, ENG 2 [13QM] AMM 28-24-41-000-001 and AMM 28-24-41-400-001.
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the items that follow ASM 282401:
(a) The RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 [12QG] .
(b) The CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 [2KC] (part of ENG PNL 115VU).
(c) The ENG/APU FIRE PNL [1WD] .
(d) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(6) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a check of the aircraft wiring AWM 282402 between:
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
Subtask 28-24-00-810-070-A The Actuator 10QG Motor 2 Does Not Operate From The Closed To The Open Position.
(1) Get access to the actuator 10QG AMM 28-24-51-000-001.
(a) Make sure that the actuator 10QG and the LP valve 13QM:
- are correctly engaged together
- V-clamp is correctly installed.
(b) Do a visual inspection for signs of damage to the items that follow:
- the connector 10QG-B and its supply cable
- the actuator electrical related receptacle.
NOTE: Right Wing Wire Routing AWM 940602.

(a) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(b) If the fault continues, replace the VALVE-LP FUEL, ENG 2 [13QM] AMM 28-24-41-000-001 and AMM 28-24-41-400-001.
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(5) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the items that follow ASM 282401:
(a) The RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 [12QG] .
(b) The CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 [2KC] (part of ENG PNL 115VU).
(c) The ENG/APU FIRE PNL [1WD] .
(d) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
(6) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a check of the aircraft wiring AWM 282402 between:
- the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-B, pin A and the RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 (12QG), terminal B3
- the ACTUATOR-LP FUEL VALVE, ENG 2 connector 10QG-B, pin E and the ground point 4004VN(622STA450)
- the RELAY-ENG/MASTER 2 (12QG), terminal B2 and the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL (1WD) connector 1WD-C, pin <A
- the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL (1WD) connector 1WD-C, pin <B and the C/B-FUEL/LP VALVE/MOT 2/ENG 2 (4QG), terminal 2.
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
C. The Actuator 10QG does operate from the open to the closed position.
(1) On the overhead panel 20VU, make sure the ENG 2 FIRE PUSH P/BSW (on the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL 1WD) is in the closed and guarded position.
(2) On the panel 115VU, make sure the ENG/MASTER 2 switch is in the OFF position.
(3) Use a MULTIMETER - STANDARD ASM 761201 ASM 282401 to do a check for a ground signal on the:
1 Do a check of the aircraft wiring ASM 761201 between the:
(d) Do the test given in the Para. 3. A.
(1) On the overhead panel 20VU, make sure the ENG 2 FIRE PUSH P/BSW (on the ENG/APU FIRE PANEL 1WD) is in the closed and guarded position.
(2) On the panel 115VU, make sure the ENG/MASTER 2 switch is in the OFF position.
(3) Use a MULTIMETER - STANDARD ASM 761201 ASM 282401 to do a check for a ground signal on the:
- 1WD ENG/APU FIRE PANEL connector D, pin <H
- 2KC CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 pin 3A.
- Replace the ENG/APU FIRE PNL [1WD] AMM 26-12-12-000-004 and AMM 26-12-12-400-004.
- Replace the CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 [2KC] (part of the panel 115VU) ESPM 2046000.
1 Do a check of the aircraft wiring ASM 761201 between the:
- 2KC CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 pin 2A and the 1KS2 EIU-2 connector AA, pin 4E
- 2KC CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 pin 3A and the 1KS2 EIU-2 connector AA, pin 5A.
(d) Do the test given in the Para. 3. A.
