3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 27-93-00-860-086-A
A. Job Set-Up
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized.
   (3) On the overhead panel 24VU:
  • release the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch (the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch comes on).
   (4) On the overhead panel 24VU:
  • push the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch (the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch goes off).
NOTE: In case of a reset of the ELAC2 with the circuit breaker, the supply breaking must be more than 5 seconds.
NOTE: If the ELAC FAULT warning disappears after several resets, replace the computer.

B. Test
   (1) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.
NOTE: If the ground scanning does not give the maintenance message ELAC2, do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-947).
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
   (3) If the fault continues:

A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check for an open circuit of the wiring of the DSI 39 signal at pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part) of ELAC2 (2CE2) ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check for an open circuit of the wirings of the DSI 39 and 47 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part ASM 279240:
  • For DSI 39: pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part).
  • For DSI 47: pin AA/5K (COM part) and pin AD/13H (MON part).
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 20 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do a check for an open circuit of the wiring of the DSI 39 signal at pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part) of ELAC2 (2CE2) ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (5) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check of the wirings of the DSI 20 and 43 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do a check for an open circuit of the wiring of the DSI 39 signal at pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part) of ELAC2 (2CE2) ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (5) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-N ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 20 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do a check for an open circuit of the wirings of the DSI 39 and 47 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part ASM 279240.
  • For DSI 39: pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part).
  • For DSI 47: pin AA/5K (COM part) and pin AD/13H (MON part).
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (5) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-R ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check of the wirings of the DSI 20 and 43 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do a check for an open circuit of the wirings of the DSI 39 and 47 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part ASM 279240:
  • For DSI 39: pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part).
  • For DSI 47: pin AA/5K (COM part) and pin AD/13H (MON part).
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (5) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).

A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 43 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do a check for an open circuit of the wirings of the DSI 20, 39 and 47 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part ASM 279240:
  • For DSI 20: pin AA/5C (COM part) and pin AD/2G (MON part).
  • For DSI 39: pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part).
  • For DSI 47: pin AA/5K (COM part) and pin AD/13H (MON part).
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (5) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-V ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check of the wiring of the DSI 47 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the ground terminal ASM 279240.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do a check for an open circuit of the wirings of the DSI 20, 22, 39 and 43 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part ASM 279240:
  • For DSI 20: pin AA/5C (COM part) and pin AD/2G (MON part).
  • For DSI 22: pin AB/1A (COM part) and pin AD/3E (MON part).
  • For DSI 39: pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part).
  • For DSI 43: pin AB/6C (COM part) and pin AD/13G (MON part).
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (5) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-290-W ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
   (1) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
   (2) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 04 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 01) and the MON part (DGO 04) to the COM part (DGI 01) ASM 279252.
  • If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
  • If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
   (3) Do a check for an open circuit of the wirings of the DSI 20, 39 and 47 signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part ASM 279240:
  • For DSI 20: pin AA/5C (COM part) and pin AD/2G (MON part).
  • For DSI 39: pin AA/12J (COM part) and pin AD/15E (MON part).
  • For DSI 47: pin AA/5K (COM part) and pin AD/13H (MON part).
  • If the wirings are not correct, repair the above wirings.
  • If the wirings are correct, continue the procedure.
   (4) Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-901).
