A. Side Stick Identification
(1) Do the identification of the side stick installed on the aircraft AMM 27-92-41-860-801.
Subtask 27-93-00-860-083-A (1) Do the identification of the side stick installed on the aircraft AMM 27-92-41-860-801.
B. Job Set-Up
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized.
(3) On the overhead panel 24VU:
Subtask 27-93-00-740-176-A (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM 24-41-00-861-002.
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized.
(3) On the overhead panel 24VU:
- release the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch (the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch comes on).
- push the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch (the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch goes off).
NOTE: In case of a reset of the ELAC2 with the circuit breaker, the supply breaking must be more than 5 seconds.
NOTE: If the ELAC FAULT warning disappears after several resets, replace the computer.
C. Test
(1) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.
4. Fault Isolation(1) Do the BITE test of the EFCS (ground scanning) AMM 27-96-00-740-001.
NOTE: If the ground scanning does not give the maintenance message ELAC2, do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 27-93-00-810-947).
Subtask 27-93-00-810-292-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. If the test confirms the fault:
(a) Remove ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-000-001.
(b) At ELAC2 receptacle, do a check of the resistance between pin AB/11J and pin AE/14C ASM 279203.
1 If the resistance is less than 280 ohms:
a Remove the relay (40CE2) AIPC 27920803.
b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pin X1 and pin X2 ASM 279203.
a Remove the relay (40CE2) AIPC 27920803.
b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pins X1 and X2 ASM 279203.
a Remove FCDC1 AMM 27-95-34-000-001.
wiring of the DSI 4/2 (ELAC2 FAILED) signals from FCDC1 (3CE1) and FCDC2 (3CE2) to the relay (40CE2) ASM 279504 and ASM 279505.
e Install ELAC2 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
(2) If the flight controls do not move according to the ELAC2 servoing:
(a) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
(b) If the fault continues:
1 Do a check of the P/N of the FCDC installed on the aircraft:
a If the P/N of the FCDC is 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-934) related to the DGO 01 digital output signal of ELAC2 ASM 279252.
(d) If the fault continues:
1 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 01 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 09) and the MON part (DGO 01) to the COM part (DGI 09) ASM 279252.
SSU-CAPT (100CE1) and SSU-F/O (100CE2) (if a new-generation side-stick unit is installed on the aircraft) AMM 27-92-41-000-002 and AMM 27-92-41-400-002 or AMM 27-92-41-000-802 and AMM 27-92-41-400-802.
(e) If the fault continues:
1 Do a check of thewiring of the PWR SPLY + 28VDC signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
wiring of the CTL + 28VDC and ELAC2 ENGAGED (DSI 50) signals from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part and the MON part to the pushbutton switch (6CE2) ASM 279202.
wiring from the pushbutton switch (6CE2) pin A/C3 to the first terminal block ASM 279202.
Subtask 27-93-00-810-292-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - Do the operational test of the ELACs AMM 27-93-00-710-001 to make sure that ELAC2 operates its associated surfaces.
(a) Remove ELAC1 AMM 27-93-34-000-001.
(b) At ELAC2 receptacle, do a check of the resistance between pin AB/11J and pin AE/14C ASM 279203.
1 If the resistance is less than 280 ohms:
a Remove the relay (40CE2) AIPC 27920803.
b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pin X1 and pin X2 ASM 279203.
- If the resistance is less than 280 ohms:
. Replace the RELAY-ELAC 2 ANN SPLY [40CE2] AIPC 27920803.
. Install a new ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-400-001. - If the resistance is between 280 and 400 ohms:
. Do a check and repair the wiring of the RLY ELAC FAULT signal from the relay to ELAC2 ASM 279203.
. Install the relay (40CE2) AIPC 27920803.
. Install a new ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
a Remove the relay (40CE2) AIPC 27920803.
b Do a check of the resistance of the relay between pins X1 and X2 ASM 279203.
- If the resistance is more than 400 ohms:
. Replace the RELAY-ELAC 2 ANN SPLY [40CE2] AIPC 27920803.
. Install ELAC2 AMM 27-93-34-400-001. - If the resistance is between 280 and 400 ohms:
. Do a check and repair the wiring of the RLY ELAC FAULT signal from the relay to ELAC2 ASM 279203.
. Install the relay (40CE2) AIPC 27920803.
. Install ELAC2 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
a Remove FCDC1 AMM 27-95-34-000-001.
- If the warning ELAC2 stays in view:
. Install FCDC1 AMM 27-95-34-400-001.
. Continue the trouble shooting at Para. b_. - If the warning ELAC2 goes out of view, replace FCDC-1 [3CE1] AMM 27-95-34-000-001 and AMM 27-95-34-400-001.
- Install ELAC2 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
- If the warning ELAC2 stays in view:
. Install FCDC2 AMM 27-95-34-400-001.
. Continue the trouble shooting at Para. c_. - If the warning ELAC2 goes out of view, replace FCDC-2 [3CE2] AMM 27-95-34-000-001 and AMM 27-95-34-400-001.
- Install ELAC2 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
- If the warning ELAC2 stays in view:
. Install the relay (40CE2) AIPC 27920803.
. Continue the trouble shooting at Para. d_. - If the warning ELAC2 goes out of view, replace the RELAY-ELAC 2 ANN SPLY [40CE2] AIPC 27920803.
- Install ELAC2 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
e Install ELAC2 AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
(2) If the flight controls do not move according to the ELAC2 servoing:
(a) Replace ELAC-2 [2CE2] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
(b) If the fault continues:
1 Do a check of the P/N of the FCDC installed on the aircraft:
a If the P/N of the FCDC is 115370-0105 or 115370-0106 or 115370-1016 or 115370-1216:
- Replace ELAC-1 [2CE1] AMM 27-93-34-000-001 and AMM 27-93-34-400-001.
- Continue the trouble shooting at paragraph 4.A.(2)(c).
Do the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TSM TASK 31-32-00-810-934) related to the DGO 01 digital output signal of ELAC2 ASM 279252.
(d) If the fault continues:
1 Do a check of the wiring of the DGO 01 signal from the ELAC2 (2CE2) COM part to the MON part (DGI 09) and the MON part (DGO 01) to the COM part (DGI 09) ASM 279252.
- If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
- If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
- If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
- If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
- If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
- If the wiring is correct, continue the procedure.
- If the wiring is not correct, repair the above wiring.
