3. Fault Confirmation
Subtask 25-62-00-710-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Test
   (1) Do the BITE test of the CIDS through the programming and test panel (PTP) AMM 23-73-00-740-003, or through the centralized fault display system (CFDS) AMM 23-73-00-740-005.
Subtask 25-62-00-710-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do the Interface and Power-Up Test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) via the CFDS AMM 23-73-00-740-005.
4. Fault Isolation
Subtask 25-62-00-810-059-A
A. If the test gives a different maintenance message:
  • Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
Subtask 25-62-00-810-110-A
B. If the test gives multiple maintenance messages:
Subtask 25-62-00-810-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. If the test gives the maintenance message SLIDE BOTTLE AFT R or DEU-B 300RH6:
   (1) Make sure that the pressure gage shows the correct pressure.
NOTE: There are two different types of pressure gage (MODEL A and MODEL B). MODEL A has a green cursor which is temperature sensitive. MODEL B has a needle with an internal mechanism, which is temperature sensitive. They can give temporary low pressure indications when there are sudden changes from a cold to a warm environment. This usually occurs after a longer flight and the aircraft door is opened in a warm environment. The cursor/needle moves to changes in temperature faster than the gas pressure can react in the inflation reservoir.
     (a) The indications for MODEL A are as follows:
  • AREA A (green cursor width) shows a correct pressure level.
  • AREA B, which is half the range of AREA A, shows a pressure level that can be accepted if sudden temperature changes occurred in the last 60 minutes.

     (b) The indications for MODEL B are as follows:
  • The GREEN BAND shows a correct pressure level.
  • AREA B, which has a range equal to AREA A, shows a pressure level that can be accepted if sudden temperature changes occurred in the last 60 minutes.
   (2) If the pressure gage shows an indication in AREA B:
     (a) Let temperature conditions become stable and then examine the pressure gage again.
     (b) If the pressure gage continues to show an indication in AREA B:
  • Replace the ESCAPE SLIDE AFT R [7503MM] :

       1 For escape-slides AMM 25-62-44-000-002 and AMM 25-62-44-400-006 .

       2 For escape-slide rafts AMM 25-62-44-000-012 and AMM 25-62-44-400-007.
   (3) If the pressure indication is correct:
   (4) If the fault continues:
  • Do a check and repair the wiring between the:
DEU-B [300RH6] connector C/37 and the SLIDE BOTTLE PRESS SENSOR connector A/C ASM 256501 and ASM 237326.
Subtask 25-62-00-810-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. If the test gives the maintenance message
SLIDE BTL 4R/DEU B (300RH8) and/or
DEU-B 300RH8:
   (1) Make sure that the pressure gage shows the correct pressure.
NOTE: There are two different types of pressure gage (MODEL A and MODEL B). MODEL A has a green cursor which is temperature sensitive. MODEL B has a needle with an internal mechanism, which is temperature sensitive. They can give temporary low pressure indications when there are sudden changes from a cold to a warm environment.

     (a) Do a check and repair the wiring between:
  • The DEU-B [300RH8] connector C/34 and the SLIDE BOTTLE PRESS SENSOR connector A/C
  • The SLIDE BOTTLE PRESS SENSOR connector A/E and GND ASM 237327.
Subtask 25-62-00-710-059-A
D. Do the test as given in paragraph 3. A. to check the correct operation (no maintenance message is shown).
5. Close-up
Subtask 25-62-00-860-069-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
