Removal of the Low Oil Pressure Switch
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

OPEN THE PROBE HEATER AND WINDOW HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS BEFORE YOU OPEN THE PHC AND WHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
C. Open, safety and tag these circuit breakers in this sequence:- THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
- THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.

A. Removal of the Low Oil Pressure Switch
POST SB RA32079-8
(1) Remove the insulation housing from the switch.
(a) Cut the lockwire and remove the insulation housing (35) from the switch (10).
(b) Cut the lockwire and remove the boots (40) and (45) from the fittings on the tubes.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000ENA from the low oil pressure switch (10).
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the switch (10), disconnect the two oil tubes from the switch (10) and let the oil drain.
(5) Remove the unions (25), and the packings (30) from the switch (10). Discard the packings.
(6) Remove the bolts (15) and the washers (20). Remove the switch (10) from the bracket. Install COVER - PROTECTION on the switch and the tube assembly couplings.
