A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

C. Clean components:
(1) Make a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-001) . Use the cloth to clean the mating faces of the air cooled oil cooler and the modulating valve.

D. Examine the mating faces of the air cooled oil cooler and the modulating valve and make sure that they have no damage.
4. ProcedureSubtask 79-21-51-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Air Cooled Oil Cooler (ACOC) modulating valve:
(1) Install the modulating valve.
(a) Remove all the covers from the openings.
(b) Install the modulating valve on the ACOC.
(c) Position the bracket (37).
(d) Install the bolt (36), washers (34) and nut (33).
(e) Install the bolts (58), washers (57) and nuts (56).
(f) Install the bolts (52), washers (53) and nuts (51).
(g) Install the bolt (54) and the washer (55).
(h) Install the bolt (39) and the washers (38).
(i) TORQUE the nuts (33), (56) and (51) and the bolts (39) and (54) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(j) TORQUE the bolt (35) to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(2) Install the supporting links on the modulating valve.
(a) Install the supporting links (43), (48) and (49) on the modulating valve.
(b) Install the bolts (40) and (46), with the washers (41) and (47) and the nuts (42) and (50).
(c) TORQUE the nuts (42) and (50) to between 220 and 180 lbf.in (2.49 and 2.03 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(3) Install the fuel tubes and the drain tube.
(a) Install the fuel tubes (1) and (2) and the drain tube (3) on the modulating valve connections.
(b) TORQUE the fuel tube (1) nut to between 177 and 159 lbf.in (2.00 and 1.80 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(c) TORQUE the fuel tube (2) nut to between 150 and 142 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.60 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(d) TORQUE the drain tube (3) nut to between 177 and 159 lbf.in (2.00 and 1.80 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(4) Install the clip assemblies and the electrical connectors.
(a) Install the tube clip assemblies.
(b) Install tube clip assembly nut (15), washer (16) spacer (17) and bolt (18). See Sheet 2/3 View D.
(c) Install the tube clip assembly bolt (19), washer (20) and nut (21). See Sheet 2/3 View H.
(d) Install the tube assembly bolt (23) and washer (22). See Sheet 2/3 View J.
(e) TORQUE the nuts (15) and (21) and the bolt (23) to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(f) Install the electrical connectors (4) and (5) on the modulating valve (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010)
Subtask 79-21-51-720-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the modulating valve.
(a) Remove all the covers from the openings.
(b) Install the modulating valve on the ACOC.
(c) Position the bracket (37).
(d) Install the bolt (36), washers (34) and nut (33).
(e) Install the bolts (58), washers (57) and nuts (56).
(f) Install the bolts (52), washers (53) and nuts (51).
(g) Install the bolt (54) and the washer (55).
(h) Install the bolt (39) and the washers (38).
(i) TORQUE the nuts (33), (56) and (51) and the bolts (39) and (54) to between 105 and 85 lbf.in (1.19 and 0.96 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (j) TORQUE the bolt (35) to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (2) Install the supporting links on the modulating valve.
(a) Install the supporting links (43), (48) and (49) on the modulating valve.
(b) Install the bolts (40) and (46), with the washers (41) and (47) and the nuts (42) and (50).
(c) TORQUE the nuts (42) and (50) to between 220 and 180 lbf.in (2.49 and 2.03 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (3) Install the fuel tubes and the drain tube.
(a) Install the fuel tubes (1) and (2) and the drain tube (3) on the modulating valve connections.
(b) TORQUE the fuel tube (1) nut to between 177 and 159 lbf.in (2.00 and 1.80 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (c) TORQUE the fuel tube (2) nut to between 150 and 142 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.60 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (d) TORQUE the drain tube (3) nut to between 177 and 159 lbf.in (2.00 and 1.80 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (4) Install the clip assemblies and the electrical connectors.
(a) Install the tube clip assemblies.
(b) Install tube clip assembly nut (15), washer (16) spacer (17) and bolt (18). See Sheet 2/3 View D.
(c) Install the tube clip assembly bolt (19), washer (20) and nut (21). See Sheet 2/3 View H.
(d) Install the tube assembly bolt (23) and washer (22). See Sheet 2/3 View J.
(e) TORQUE the nuts (15) and (21) and the bolt (23) to between 45 and 36 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.41 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (f) Install the electrical connectors (4) and (5) on the modulating valve (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010)
B. Measure the electrical resistance of the joint between the air cooled oil cooler and the modulating valve with an MULTIMETER - STANDARD. The resistance must not be more than 0.0025/Ohms.
5. Close-upSubtask 79-21-51-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
448AR 447AL.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
B. Test requirements:
(1) Do an operational test of the FADEC (Ref. AMM TASK 73-22-00-710-040) and make sure that on the CFDS no faultrelated to the ACOC Modulating Valve is shown.
(2) Do an idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-012) or do a dry motor leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-045).
(1) Do an operational test of the FADEC (Ref. AMM TASK 73-22-00-710-040) and make sure that on the CFDS no faultrelated to the ACOC Modulating Valve is shown.
(2) Do an idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-012) or do a dry motor leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-045).
