A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 79-21-10-010-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Get Access

Subtask 79-21-10-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Lube Supply and/or Common Scavenge Filters:
(2) Remove lockwire from drain plug.
(3) Remove drain plug, and let oil drain in the container.
(4) Remove and discard O-ring (20) located on drain plug shoulder.
(5) Loosen nut and remove coupling clamp.
(6) Remove filter cover with 856A2791 PULLER-COVER LUBE UNIT (856A2791G01), threaded in the hole of the drain plug.
(7) Remove and discard lube supply filter (40) assemblies by pulling on the ring of the oil filter assembly.
(8) Remove and discard common scavenge filter (50) assemblies by pulling on the ring of the oil filter assembly.
(9) Remove and discard preformed packing (30).
(10) Remove and discard packing (10) from filter.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND BE CAREFUL WITH OIL SPLASHES WHEN YOU DISCONNECT OIL TUBES. HOT OIL CAN CAUSE DEEP BURNS.
(1) Place a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) under the filter to collect residual oil in filter. (2) Remove lockwire from drain plug.
(3) Remove drain plug, and let oil drain in the container.
(4) Remove and discard O-ring (20) located on drain plug shoulder.
(5) Loosen nut and remove coupling clamp.
(6) Remove filter cover with 856A2791 PULLER-COVER LUBE UNIT (856A2791G01), threaded in the hole of the drain plug.
(7) Remove and discard lube supply filter (40) assemblies by pulling on the ring of the oil filter assembly.
(8) Remove and discard common scavenge filter (50) assemblies by pulling on the ring of the oil filter assembly.
(9) Remove and discard preformed packing (30).
(10) Remove and discard packing (10) from filter.
