A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.

A. Removal of the Magnetic Plug Assembly
(2) Ensure area around magnetic plugs is clean before removal to prevent contamination.
(3) Remove magnetic plug assembly by pressing and rotating one-quarter of a turn counter-clockwise (CCW).
Subtask 79-21-10-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND BE CAREFUL WITH OIL SPLASHES WHEN YOU DISCONNECT OIL TUBES. HOT OIL CAN CAUSE DEEP BURNS.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST REMOVE AND INSTALL THE MAGNETIC PLUGS ONE AT A TIME TO PREVENT INTERCHANGE OF THEIR POSITIONS.
(1) Place a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) under magnetic plug assembly to collect residual oil. (2) Ensure area around magnetic plugs is clean before removal to prevent contamination.
(3) Remove magnetic plug assembly by pressing and rotating one-quarter of a turn counter-clockwise (CCW).
B. Examine each magnetic plug very closely, taking care not to displace any retained particles (Ref. AMM TASK 79-21-10-210-002).
Subtask 79-21-10-020-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL C. Remove and discard O-ring (20) from magnetic plug.
