Installation of the Hydraulic Line Upper, Double and Lower Brackets
WARNING:
WEAR A FACE SHIELD WHICH IS RESISTANT TO HIGH PRESSURE JETS WHEN YOU WORK ON PRESSURIZED SYSTEMS.
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
- ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THERE IS NO UNWANTED MATERIAL IN THE PORTS AND ORIFICES OR DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

A. Installation of the Hydraulic Line Upper, Double and Lower Brackets:
(1) Installation of the Hydraulic Line Lower Bracket
(a) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) to the mating surface of the lower bracket.
(b) Attach the lower bracket to the forward frame with the bolts and the nuts.
(c) TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )

(d) Attach the upper half clamp to the lower bracket with the bolt and the washer.
(e) TORQUE the nut to between 30 and 27 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.31 m.daN )
.
(2) Installation of the Hydraulic Line Double Bracket
(a) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) to the mating surface of the double bracket.
(b) Attach the double bracket to the forward frame with the bolts and the nuts.
(c) TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )

(d) Attach the upper half clamps and the double flange to the double bracket with the bolts and the nuts.
(e) TORQUE the nut to between 30 and 27 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.31 m.daN )
.
(f) Attach the electrical harness to the double bracket with the clamp, bolt and nut.
(g) TORQUE the nut to between 40 and 30 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.34 m.daN )
.
(3) Installation of the Hydraulic Line Upper Bracket
(a) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) to the mating surface of the upper bracket.
(b) Attach the upper bracket to the forward frame with the bolts and the nuts.
(c) TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )

(d) Attach the upper half clamp and the flange to the upper bracket with the bolts and the nuts.
(e) TORQUE the nuts to between 30 and 27 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.31 m.daN )
.
(f) Attach the electrical harness to the upper bracket with the clamp, bolt and nut.
(g) TORQUE the nut to between 40 and 30 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.34 m.daN )
.
5. Close-up(1) Installation of the Hydraulic Line Lower Bracket
(a) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) to the mating surface of the lower bracket.
(b) Attach the lower bracket to the forward frame with the bolts and the nuts.
(c) TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )
. (d) Attach the upper half clamp to the lower bracket with the bolt and the washer.
(e) TORQUE the nut to between 30 and 27 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.31 m.daN )
. (2) Installation of the Hydraulic Line Double Bracket
(a) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) to the mating surface of the double bracket.
(b) Attach the double bracket to the forward frame with the bolts and the nuts.
(c) TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )
. (d) Attach the upper half clamps and the double flange to the double bracket with the bolts and the nuts.
(e) TORQUE the nut to between 30 and 27 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.31 m.daN )
. (f) Attach the electrical harness to the double bracket with the clamp, bolt and nut.
(g) TORQUE the nut to between 40 and 30 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.34 m.daN )
. (3) Installation of the Hydraulic Line Upper Bracket
(a) Apply a layer of blindexite RT 342-2 (Material No.CP2318) to the mating surface of the upper bracket.
(b) Attach the upper bracket to the forward frame with the bolts and the nuts.
(c) TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 61 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.69 m.daN )
. (d) Attach the upper half clamp and the flange to the upper bracket with the bolts and the nuts.
(e) TORQUE the nuts to between 30 and 27 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.31 m.daN )
. (f) Attach the electrical harness to the upper bracket with the clamp, bolt and nut.
(g) TORQUE the nut to between 40 and 30 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.34 m.daN )
. NOTE: Apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 blue 5991 (Material No.CP2245) on all nuts and connections after they are torqued.

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040)
