B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

4. Procedure

CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

A. Removal of the Lower Inhibit Lever Cable

WARNING: WEAR APPLICABLE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK. BEFORE YOU USE PPE, READ, UNDERSTAND AND OBEY ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ITS USE. THESE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER, YOUR EMPLOYER AND GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS. YOU CAN GET INJURED IF YOU DO NOT USE PPE. GET INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR EMPLOYER ON WHICH PPE IS NECESSARY.

(1) Put the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) in the inhibited position (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).
(2) Move the quick release sleeve on the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) back and disconnect the lower inhibit handle assembly (1) from the upper inhibit cable.
(3) Remove the six bolts (2), the six washers (3) and three clamps (4) that attach the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) to the brackets on the fan case.
(4) Remove the four bolts (5) and washers (6) that attach the handle of the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1) to the handle bracket on the fan case.
(5) Remove the lower inhibit cable handle assembly (1).
(6) Installation of protection covers

CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

(a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
