B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Put a STEPLADDER 0.5 M (1.6 FT) in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Ground Maintenance
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THE DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED OPERATION AND THUS OF INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).
4. Procedure
Subtask 78-11-03-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Remove the aft centerbody assembly (3)
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AFT CENTERBODY IS SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORTED DURING REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION. THE AFT CENTERBODY WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 11.3 LB (5.1 KG). IF IT IS NOT SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORTED, INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Remove the 12 bolts (1) and 12 washers (2) that attach the aft centerbody assembly (3) to the forward centerbody assembly.
   (2) Remove the aft centerbody assembly (3).
   (3) Put the aft centerbody assembly (3) on the 636-4000-22GSE EXHAUST DOLLY. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer.
   (4) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
