A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure
WARNING: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
Subtask 75-24-10-020-050-A
A. Removal of the EEC Cooling Duct (IN) (1) and Cooling Duct (OUT) (2)
   (1) Disconnection of the EEC cooling blowers:
     (a) Disconnect the HJ2A harness electrical connector (4) from the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (b) Disconnect the HJ2A harness electrical connector (6) from the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
   (2) Removal of the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1):
     (a) Loosen the nut (8) from the clamp (9) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the inlet cowl (7).
     (b) Remove the clamp (9) from the inlet cowl (7).
     (c) Remove the two bolts (11) from the clamp (12) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the bracket (10).
     (d) Remove the clamp (12) from the bracket (10).
     (e) Remove the bolt (14) from the clamp (15) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the bracket (13).
     (f) Remove the clamp (15) from the bracket (13).
     (g) Remove the two bolts (17) from the clamp (18) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the bracket (16).
     (h) Remove the clamp (18) from the bracket (16).
     (i) Loosen the screw (19) from the clamp (20) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (j) Remove the clamp (20) from the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (k) Loosen the screw (21) from the clamp (22) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1) to the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (l) Remove the clamp (22) from the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (m) Remove the EEC cooling duct (IN) (1).
   (3) Removal of the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2):
     (a) Loosen the screw (23) from the clamp (24) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (b) Remove the clamp (24) from the EEC cooling blower (upper) (3).
     (c) Loosen the screw (25) from the clamp (26) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (d) Remove the clamp (26) from the EEC cooling blower (lower) (5).
     (e) Remove the two bolts (28) from the clamp (29) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the bracket (27).
     (f) Remove the clamp (29) from the bracket (27).

PRE SB 72-0071

Loosen the screw (31) from the clamp (32) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC channel A (30).
     (h) Remove the clamp (32) from the EEC channel A (30).

END PRE SB 72-0071

     (i) Remove the two bolts (34) from the clamp (35) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the bracket (33).
     (j) Remove the clamp (35) from the bracket (33).
     (k) Remove the two bolts (37) from the clamp (38) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the bracket (36).
     (l) Remove the clamp (38) from the bracket (36).

PRE SB 72-0071

Loosen the screw (40) from the clamp (41) that attaches the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2) to the EEC channel B (39).
     (n) Remove the clamp (41) from the EEC channel B (39).

END PRE SB 72-0071

     (o) Remove the EEC cooling duct (OUT) (2).
   (4) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, tubes, hoses and disconnected connectors.
