A. Disassemble the ignition lead
PRE SB 74-003
(1) Remove and discard the white chamfered silicone seal (10).
(2) Remove the caged spring assembly (30).
(3) Remove and discard the retaining ring (20).
(4) Remove and discard the ceramic insulator sleeve (40).
(5) Replace the ignition lead if the insulation has carbon tracks and arcing damage.

(6) Remove and discard the blue symmetrical silicone seal (10).
(7) Remove and discard the retaining ring (20).
(8) Remove and discard the ceramic insulator sleeve (40).
(9) Replace the ignition lead if the insulation has carbon tracks and arcing damage.

(1) Remove and discard the white chamfered silicone seal (10).
(2) Remove the caged spring assembly (30).
(3) Remove and discard the retaining ring (20).
(4) Remove and discard the ceramic insulator sleeve (40).
(5) Replace the ignition lead if the insulation has carbon tracks and arcing damage.

(6) Remove and discard the blue symmetrical silicone seal (10).
(7) Remove and discard the retaining ring (20).
(8) Remove and discard the ceramic insulator sleeve (40).
(9) Replace the ignition lead if the insulation has carbon tracks and arcing damage.

B. Clean all of the ignition leads components with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) that is moist with stoddard solvent (Material No.CP2011) or acetone (Material No.CP1039) or ardrox 552 (Material No.CP2559) or turco ind 79 (Material No.CP2560) or mag-chem teksol (Material No.CP2566) or degreasol 99 R (Material No.CP2584) or mag-chem skysol (Material No.CP2656) .
Subtask 74-21-10-350-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The connector and all parts of the ignition lead must be clean.
C. Assemble the Ignition Lead
(2) Install the new AIPC 74-21-10-01-130 CERAMIC INSULATOR SLEEVE (20).

(3) Install the AIPC 74-21-10-01-120 CAGED SPRING ASSEMBLY (30) to the ignition lead. Make sure that the large shoulder end of the caged spring assembly (30) is at the contact end of the ignition lead.
(4) Install the new AIPC 74-21-10-01-110 WHITE CHAMFERED SILICONE SEAL (10) to the ignition lead. The small diameter collar of the white chamfered silicone seal (10) must be put into the large collar of the caged spring assembly (30).

(5) Install the new AIPC 74-21-10-01-110 WHITE CHAMFERED SILICONE SEAL (10) to the ignition lead.

5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY GREASE OR ANY LUBRICANT TO THE THREADS OF THE CONNECTOR ON THE IGNITION LEAD. GREASE AND LUBRICANTS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IGNITION LEAD AND THE SPARK IGNITER.
(1) Install the new AIPC 74-21-10-01-140 CERAMIC INSULATOR SLEEVE (40). (2) Install the new AIPC 74-21-10-01-130 CERAMIC INSULATOR SLEEVE (20).

(3) Install the AIPC 74-21-10-01-120 CAGED SPRING ASSEMBLY (30) to the ignition lead. Make sure that the large shoulder end of the caged spring assembly (30) is at the contact end of the ignition lead.
(4) Install the new AIPC 74-21-10-01-110 WHITE CHAMFERED SILICONE SEAL (10) to the ignition lead. The small diameter collar of the white chamfered silicone seal (10) must be put into the large collar of the caged spring assembly (30).
