3. Job Set-up
Subtask 73-22-48-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
437AL 438AR.
     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.

C. Remove the P2/T2 probe access panel
F P2/T2 Air Tubes ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the 18 bolts (2).
   (2) Remove the access panel (1).
Subtask 73-22-48-110-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
D. Clean the P2/T2 tubes (3) and (4):
F P2/T2 Air Tubes ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) (Ref 70-30-00) to clean the tubes.
   (2) Dry the tubes with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
4. Procedure
Subtask 73-22-48-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Examination:
   (1) Examine the tube (3) for twisting
     (a) If the tube is twisted, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 73-22-48-000-010) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-22-48-400-010).
   (2) Examine the tubes (3) and (4) for correct attachment
F P2/T2 Air Tubes ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) If the tubes are loose, TORQUE the tube connection nuts to between 145 and 135 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.53 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
   (3) Examine the general condition of the tubes (3) and (4). Use the LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION and the MIRROR - INSPECTION.
     (a) Examine the tubes for cracks.
       1 If a tube is cracked, reject it.
     (b) Examine the tubes for dents and damage.
       1 If a tube has dents or damage, reject it.
5. Close-up
Subtask 73-22-48-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Install the P2/T2 probe access panel
F P2/T2 Air Tubes ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Put the access panel (1) on the air intake cowl, in the correct position for installation.
   (3) Install the 18 bolts (2). TORQUE the bolts to between 38.5 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.44 and 0.36 m.daN ) T.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowls (
Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
437AL 438AR.
     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
