Removal of the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Wiring Harness (WF06)

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AND THE ADJACENT COMPONENTS AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE OIL AND THE ADJACENT COMPONENTS CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.

(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)

C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 73-21-66-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Removal of the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Wiring Harness WF06
(1) Find the EEC wiring harness (WF06) (1) attached to the right-hand side of the fan case, see the sheet 1 of the figure.
(2) Remove the harness (WF06) (1) from the engine as follows: see the sheet 1 throught 4 of the figure.
(a) Disconnect the harness (WF06) connectors from the engine with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT as follows:
1 Disconnect the connector (P7) from the EEC.
2 Disconnect the connector (P491) from the pylon.
(b) Remove the harness (WF06) (1) from the spring clips.
(c) Remove the harness (WF06) (1) from the engine.
(3) Installation of the protection covers
(1) Find the EEC wiring harness (WF06) (1) attached to the right-hand side of the fan case, see the sheet 1 of the figure.
(2) Remove the harness (WF06) (1) from the engine as follows: see the sheet 1 throught 4 of the figure.
(a) Disconnect the harness (WF06) connectors from the engine with the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT as follows:
1 Disconnect the connector (P7) from the EEC.
2 Disconnect the connector (P491) from the pylon.
(b) Remove the harness (WF06) (1) from the spring clips.
(c) Remove the harness (WF06) (1) from the engine.
(3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that you install all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent engine damage.
