WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET AIRCRAFT FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES.
IF YOU GET FUEL ON YOUR SKIN OR ON YOUR CLOTHES, FLUSH IT IMMEDIATELY WITH WATER.
IF NECESSARY, GET MEDICAL HELP.
AIRCRAFT FUEL IS POISONOUS.

CAUTION:
DO NOT LET ENGINE FUEL OR OIL FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED FUEL OR OIL MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FUEL OR OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PUT FUEL THAT HAS BEEN DRAINED FROM THE ENGINE BACK IN TO THE FUEL SYSTEM.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

C. Install a new AIPC 73-13-42-80-140 SEALING RING (15) to the tube flange (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-13-911-010)
Subtask 73-11-47-630-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL D. Remove the applicable covers/caps/plugs from all of the openings.
4. ProcedureSubtask 73-11-47-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the rigid fuel tube, fuel diverter and return valve.
(1) Install the FDRV to the aircraft fuel tube:
(a) Put the fuel tube (7) on the engine.
(b) Attach the fuel tube to the fuel diverter and return valve with the bolts (14).
(c) TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(2) Connect the fuel tubes (6) and (7):
(a) Connect the fuel tube (7) to the union on the mounting bracket.
(b) Examine the mounting bracket installation. Make sure there is no clearance between the mounting bracket and the union. Make sure that the mounting bracket is horizontal. If there is a clearance at the mounting bracket, disconnect the tubes (6) and (7) and do the steps that follow:
1 Adjust the mounting bracket (on the bolt slots) until it is horizontal.
2 Remove the nuts (5) and (8) from the unions.
3 Install the applicable washers (1), (2) and (3) between the unions and the mounting bracket. Install the nuts (5) and (8).
5 Tighten the nuts (5) and (8).
6 Connect the tubes (6) and (7) to the unions on the mounting bracket.
7 Make sure there is no clearance and that the mounting bracket is horizontal.
(c) TORQUE the bolts (2) and the nuts (4) to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
(d) Do the steps that follow :

2 TORQUE the nut (8) to between 280 and 240 lbf.in (3.16 and 2.71 m.daN )

3 TORQUE the connector nut of the tube (6) to between 1680 and 1520 lbf.in (18.98 and 17.18 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
4 TORQUE the connector nut of the tube (7) to between 510 and 470 lbf.in (5.76 and 5.31 m.daN )

(3) Connect the tube assembly (16):
(a) Lubricate the threads on the tube assembly (16) and the fuel tube (6) with liquid paraffin (Material No.V10-060) or petroleum (Material No.V10-038) .
(b) Connect the tube assembly (16) to the fuel tube (6).
(c) TORQUE the nut to between 248 and 230 lbf.in (2.80 and 2.60 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Install the FDRV to the aircraft fuel tube:
(a) Put the fuel tube (7) on the engine.
(b) Attach the fuel tube to the fuel diverter and return valve with the bolts (14).
(c) TORQUE the bolts to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). (2) Connect the fuel tubes (6) and (7):
(a) Connect the fuel tube (7) to the union on the mounting bracket.
(b) Examine the mounting bracket installation. Make sure there is no clearance between the mounting bracket and the union. Make sure that the mounting bracket is horizontal. If there is a clearance at the mounting bracket, disconnect the tubes (6) and (7) and do the steps that follow:
1 Adjust the mounting bracket (on the bolt slots) until it is horizontal.
2 Remove the nuts (5) and (8) from the unions.
3 Install the applicable washers (1), (2) and (3) between the unions and the mounting bracket. Install the nuts (5) and (8).
NOTE: The washers (1), (2) and (3) can be installed as shown or installed one on each side of the bracket as necessary.
4 Tighten the bolts (2) and the nuts (4). 5 Tighten the nuts (5) and (8).
6 Connect the tubes (6) and (7) to the unions on the mounting bracket.
7 Make sure there is no clearance and that the mounting bracket is horizontal.
(c) TORQUE the bolts (2) and the nuts (4) to between 110 and 90 lbf.in (1.24 and 1.02 m.daN )

CAUTION:
HOLD THE UNIONS DURING THE TORQUE PROCEDURE TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE FLEXIBLE HOSES.
1 TORQUE the nut (5) to between 1120 and 960 lbf.in (12.66 and 10.85 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). 2 TORQUE the nut (8) to between 280 and 240 lbf.in (3.16 and 2.71 m.daN )
(Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013). 3 TORQUE the connector nut of the tube (6) to between 1680 and 1520 lbf.in (18.98 and 17.18 m.daN )

(3) Connect the tube assembly (16):
(a) Lubricate the threads on the tube assembly (16) and the fuel tube (6) with liquid paraffin (Material No.V10-060) or petroleum (Material No.V10-038) .

(c) TORQUE the nut to between 248 and 230 lbf.in (2.80 and 2.60 m.daN )
. (d) Installation of the lockwire
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010).

B. Test requirements

NOTE: A dry motor leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-045) may be used to check for leaks, but this must be followed by an idle leak check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-012).
