Accessory Gearbox AssemblySubtask 72-63-00-941-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 72-63-00-010-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.

Subtask 72-63-00-020-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Magnetic Seal
(2) Remove the magnetic seal housing assy (20) with jackscrews from the 856A1130 TOOL SET - JACK SCREW (856A1130P12).
(3) Remove and discard the O-ring (50).
(4) Remove the carbon ring assembly (60) from the gearshaft. Use the 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576G01), as follows:
(b) Install the tool on the carbon seal until the jaws of collet are behind the carbon ring assy (60).
(c) Screw handle 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P12) to tighten collet 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P14) or 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P15) on the carbon ring assy (60) outer diameter. Remove the carbon ring assy (60) with a HAMMER - SLIDE.
(5) Loosen handle 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P12). Remove the tool. Remove and discard the O-ring (70) from the inner diameter of the carbon ring assy (60). Put the removed parts in a CONTAINER - STORAGE.
CAUTION:
THE MAGNETIC SEALS ARE MATCHED ASSEMBLIES. IF ONE OF THE COMPONENTS IS DAMAGED, YOU MUST REPLACE THE COMPLETE SEAL.
(1) Remove the 3 nuts (40) and washers (30) which attach the magnetic seal housing (20). (2) Remove the magnetic seal housing assy (20) with jackscrews from the 856A1130 TOOL SET - JACK SCREW (856A1130P12).
(3) Remove and discard the O-ring (50).
(4) Remove the carbon ring assembly (60) from the gearshaft. Use the 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576G01), as follows:
NOTE: For the fuel pump and the hydraulic pump, use sleeve, 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P13) with collet, 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P15) ; for the starter and the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) , use the tool with collet, 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P14), and invert the sleeve 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P13) (the collets have a left-hand thread).
(a) Loosen handle 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P12) to disengage collet 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P14) or 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P15). Install collet 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P14) or 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P15) on handle 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P12) depending on the seal that you must remove. (b) Install the tool on the carbon seal until the jaws of collet are behind the carbon ring assy (60).
(c) Screw handle 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P12) to tighten collet 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P14) or 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P15) on the carbon ring assy (60) outer diameter. Remove the carbon ring assy (60) with a HAMMER - SLIDE.
(5) Loosen handle 856A3576 SEALOL AND MAGNETIC SEALS-R/I (856A3576P12). Remove the tool. Remove and discard the O-ring (70) from the inner diameter of the carbon ring assy (60). Put the removed parts in a CONTAINER - STORAGE.
