A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine shutdown occurred five minutes or more before you do this procedure.
   (3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

   (1) Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position

E. Get Access
   (1) Remove the flame arrestor and the flange assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 72-56-00-000-001).
   (2) Remove the oil inlet cover assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 72-56-00-000-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 72-56-00-020-066-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Air/Oil Separator Nut
   (1) Remove the air/oil separator nut (20) with the 856A3392 AFT ROTATING AIR/OIL SEPARATOR WRENCH TORQUE.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU ENGAGE THE SOCKET LUGS OF THE WRENCH AND THE COUNTERTORQUE WRENCH IN THE RELATED SLOTS OF THE AIR/OIL SEPARATOR NUT AND REAR VENT TUBE CORRECTLY. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO PARTS.
     (a) Engage the guide (30) in the rear vent tube (40) and at the same time engage the wrench (50) and the counter torque wrench (60) into the slots of the air/oil separator nut (20) and slots of the rear vent tube (40).
     (b) Install the TORQUE MULTIPLIER (70) in the counter torque wrench (60) and the lever arm (80) of the TORQUE MULTIPLIER (70) in the fork arm (90) of the wrench (50).
     (c) Install the WRENCH - RATCHET on the TORQUE MULTIPLIER (70) and remove the air/oil separator nut (20).
     (d) Remove the 856A3392 AFT ROTATING AIR/OIL SEPARATOR WRENCH TORQUE and the TORQUE MULTIPLIER (70).

B. Removal of the Air/Oil Separator Assembly
F Removal of the Air/Oil Separator ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the air/oil separator (10) with the 856A2661 AFT ROTATING AIR/OIL SEPARATOR PULLER.
     (a) Install the protector (150), on the seal teeth of the rear vent tube (40).
     (b) Loosen the knurled knobs (170) to retract the finger grips (160).
     (c) Put the tool in position on the rear vent tube (40), against the air/oil separator (10).
     (d) Tighten the knurled knobs (170) to engage the finger grips (160) into the rear flange of the air/oil separator (10).
     (e) Install the HAMMER - SLIDE (180) on the 856A2661 AFT ROTATING AIR/OIL SEPARATOR PULLER.
     (f) Remove the air/oil separator (10).
     (g) Loosen the knurled knobs (170) and remove the air/oil separator (10) from the 856A2661 AFT ROTATING AIR/OIL SEPARATOR PULLER.
