A. Detailed Visual Inspection (DVI) of the Fan Exit Fairing (Splitter)
(2) Find the fan exit fairing, which splits the air between the core engine and the fan bypass, aft of the fan blades.
(3) Visually inspect the fan exit fairing (splitter) for damage as follows (see table 6):
(a) Look between the fan blades and inspect the fan exit fairing (splitter) for signs of damage with the use of a FLASHLIGHT.

(4) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.
(5) Remove the MAT - PROTECTIVE.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Put the 636-1100-3GSE INLET COWL PROTECT COVER or equivalent MAT - PROTECTIVE in the inlet cowl. (2) Find the fan exit fairing, which splits the air between the core engine and the fan bypass, aft of the fan blades.
(3) Visually inspect the fan exit fairing (splitter) for damage as follows (see table 6):
(a) Look between the fan blades and inspect the fan exit fairing (splitter) for signs of damage with the use of a FLASHLIGHT.
