A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-096-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

B. Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

Subtask 71-73-49-020-081-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Forward Oil Sump Drain-Tube.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the forward oil sump drain tube (110) from the tube (120) and allow the fluid to drain.
(3) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (10), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the drain tube (110) to the fan case bracket.
(4) Disconnect the drain tube (110) from the forward sump receptacle.
(5) Remove the forward oil sump drain tube (110) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the forward sump receptacle, the tube (120) and the tube (110).
(7) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the forward oil sump drain tube (110) from the tube (120) and allow the fluid to drain.
(3) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (10), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the drain tube (110) to the fan case bracket.
(4) Disconnect the drain tube (110) from the forward sump receptacle.
(5) Remove the forward oil sump drain tube (110) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the forward sump receptacle, the tube (120) and the tube (110).
(7) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
