A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-094-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

Subtask 71-73-49-020-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Hydro-Mechanical-Unit (HMU) Drain Tube.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80) from the heat exchanger drain tube (75) and allow the fluid to drain.
(3) Remove the clamp (85) and the bolt, washer and nut that attach the tube (80) to the clamp (90) on the electrical harness.
(4) Disconnect the tube (80) from the hydro mechanical unit (HMU).
(5) Remove the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the hydro mechanical unit, the tube (75) and the tube (80).
(7) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
Subtask 71-73-49-020-077-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80) from the heat exchanger drain tube (75) and allow the fluid to drain.
(3) Remove the clamp (85) and the bolt, washer and nut that attach the tube (80) to the clamp (90) on the electrical harness.
(4) Disconnect the tube (80) from the hydro mechanical unit (HMU).
(5) Remove the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the hydro mechanical unit, the tube (75) and the tube (80).
(7) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
A. Removal of the Hydro Mechanical Unit (HMU) Drain Tube
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tubes.
(2) Disconnect the hydro-mechanical-unit drain tube (80) from the heat exchanger drain tube (75) and allow the fluid to drain.
(3) Remove the clamp (85), the bolt (13), and the nut (23) that attach the tube (80) to hydro mechanical unit bracket.
(4) Remove the clamp (85), the bolt (12), washers (15) and (17), and the nut (23) that attach the tube (80) to support bracket.
(5) Disconnect the tube (80) from the hydro mechanical unit (HMU).
(6) Remove the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80) from the engine.
(7) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the hydro mechanical unit, the heat exchanger drain tube (75) and the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80).
(8) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tubes.
(2) Disconnect the hydro-mechanical-unit drain tube (80) from the heat exchanger drain tube (75) and allow the fluid to drain.
(3) Remove the clamp (85), the bolt (13), and the nut (23) that attach the tube (80) to hydro mechanical unit bracket.
(4) Remove the clamp (85), the bolt (12), washers (15) and (17), and the nut (23) that attach the tube (80) to support bracket.
(5) Disconnect the tube (80) from the hydro mechanical unit (HMU).
(6) Remove the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80) from the engine.
(7) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the hydro mechanical unit, the heat exchanger drain tube (75) and the hydro mechanical unit drain tube (80).
(8) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
