A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-092-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

Subtask 71-73-49-020-075-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Fuel Overboard Drain-Tube.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the overboard drain tube to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the overboard drain tube (70) from the engine tube and allow the fluid to drain.

(3) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (60), the washer (15), the spacer (65), and the nut (20) that attach the tube (70) to the tube (55).
POST SB RA32071-13
(4) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (60), the washer (15), the spacer (65), and the nut (20) that attach the tube (70) to the tube (55).
(5) Remove the bolt (100), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the tube (70) to the transfer gearbox bracket.
END SB RA32071-13
(6) Remove the fuel overboard drain tube (70) from the engine.
(7) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the engine tube and the overboard drain tube (70).
(8) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the overboard drain tube to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the overboard drain tube (70) from the engine tube and allow the fluid to drain.

(4) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (60), the washer (15), the spacer (65), and the nut (20) that attach the tube (70) to the tube (55).
(5) Remove the bolt (100), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the tube (70) to the transfer gearbox bracket.

(6) Remove the fuel overboard drain tube (70) from the engine.
(7) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the engine tube and the overboard drain tube (70).
(8) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
