A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-73-49-020-073-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Fuel Pump Drain Tubes.
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain reservoir to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
   (2) Disconnect the fuel pump drain tube (45) from the drain reservoir and allow the fluid to drain.
   (3) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (10), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the fuel pump drain tube (45) to the transfer gearbox bracket.
   (4) Disconnect the coupling that connects the fuel pump drain tube (40) to the tube
   (5) Remove the fuel pump drain tube (45) from the engine.
   (6) Remove the clamps (5), the screws (10), the washers (15), and the nuts (20) that attach the fuel pump drain tube (40) to the heat exchanger drain tube (75).
   (7) Disconnect the coupling that connects the fuel pump drain tube (40) to the fuel pump.
   (8) Remove the fuel pump drain tube (40) from the engine.
   (9) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the drain reservoir, the fuel pump, the tube (40), and the tube (45).
   (10) Remove the container from below the drain reservoir.
