A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-089-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

Subtask 71-73-49-020-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Fan Case Drain-Tube.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tubes.
(2) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (10), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the fan case drain tube (35) to the oil tank drain tube (30).
(3) Disconnect the fan case drain tube (35) from the manifold module and allow the fluid to drain.
(4) Disconnect the fan case drain tube (35) from the engine tube.
(5) Remove the fan case drain tube (35) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the manifold module, the engine tube, and the two ends of the drain tube (35).
(7) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
Subtask 71-73-49-020-072-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tubes.

(3) Disconnect the fan case drain tube (35) from the manifold module and allow the fluid to drain.
(4) Disconnect the fan case drain tube (35) from the engine tube.
(5) Remove the fan case drain tube (35) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the manifold module, the engine tube, and the two ends of the drain tube (35).
(7) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
A. Removal of the Fan Case Drain-Tube
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tubes.
(2) Remove the clamp (5), the bolt (12), and the nut (23) that attach the fan case drain tube (35) to the oil tank drain tube (30).
(3) Disconnect the fan case drain tube (35) from the manifold module and allow the fluid to drain.
(4) Disconnect the fan case drain tube (35) from the engine tube.
(5) Remove the fan case drain tube (35) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the manifold module, the engine tube, and the two ends of the drain tube (35).
(7) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
