Subtask 71-73-49-941-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
   (1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-73-49-020-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Oil Tank Drain Tube and Hose.
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tubes.
   (2) Remove the clamps (5), the screws (10), the washers (15), and the nuts (20) that attach the oil tank drain tube (30) to the fan case drain tube (35).
   (3) Disconnect the oil tank drain tube (30) from the manifold module and allow the fluid to drain.
   (4) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (10), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the oil tank drain tube (30) to the lower fan case bracket.
   (5) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (10), and the washer (15) that attach the oil tank drain tube (30) to the top fan case bracket.
   (6) Disconnect the coupling that connects the tube (30) to the oil tank drain hose (25).
   (7) Remove the oil tank drain tube (30) from the engine.
   (8) Disconnect the oil tank drain hose (25) from the oil tank drain.
   (9) Remove the oil tank drain hose (25) from the engine.
   (10) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the manifold module, the oil tank, the drain tube (30), and the drain hose (25).
   (11) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
Subtask 71-73-49-020-071-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Oil Tank Drain Tube and Hose
   (1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fluid remaining in the tubes.
   (2) Remove the clamps (5), the bolts (12), and the nuts (23) that attach the oil tank drain tube (30) to the fan case drain tube (35).
   (3) Disconnect the oil tank drain tube (30) from the manifold module and allow the fluid to drain.
   (4) Remove the clamp (5), the screw (10), the washer (15), and the nut (20) that attach the oil tank drain tube (30) to the lower fan case bracket.
   (5) Remove the clamp (5), and the bolts (12) that attach the oil tank drain tube (30) to the top fan case bracket.
   (6) Disconnect the coupling that connects the tube (30) to the oil tank drain hose (25).
   (7) Remove the oil tank drain tube (30) from the engine.
   (8) Disconnect the oil tank drain hose (25) from the oil tank drain.
   (9) Remove the oil tank drain hose (25) from the engine.
   (10) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the manifold module, the oil tank, the drain tube (30), and the drain hose (25).
   (11) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
