3. Job Set-up
Subtask 71-71-41-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-71-41-640-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Lubricate the packings (20) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .

Subtask 71-71-41-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Install the module (5) on the brackets with the bolts (25), the washers (30) and the nuts (35). TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 50 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.57 m.daN )

.
(1) Remove protective covers from the drain tubes and the module ports.
(2) Remove the plugs (15) and the valves (10) from the reservoir (5) and install new AIPC 71-71-41-01-030 PACKING (20).
(3) Install the plugs (15) and the valves (10) in the module (5). TORQUE the plugs (15) and the valves (10) to between 140 and 125 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.41 m.daN )

. Safety the plugs (15) and the valves (10) with CP8001lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. or CP8006safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia..
(4) Connect the drain tubes to the module (5). TORQUE coupling to between 315 and 285 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.22 m.daN )

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):

(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
