A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-71-41-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

A. Remove the Drain Module
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the drain reservoir module (5) and push the valves (10) to let the fluid drain into the container.
(2) Cut the lockwire and remove the two plugs (15) and the packings (20) from the module (5). Let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Discard the packings (20) and put the plugs (15) in the module (5).
(4) Cut the lockwire and remove the valves (10) and the packings (20).
(5) Discard the packings (20) and put the valves (10) in the module.
(6) Disconnect the drain tubes from the module (5).
(7) Remove the bolts (25), the washers (30), and the nuts (35) that hold the module to the brackets.
(8) Remove the module (5) from the engine.
(9) Install a COVER - PROTECTION on the drain tubes and the reservoir (5) ports.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the drain reservoir module (5) and push the valves (10) to let the fluid drain into the container.
(2) Cut the lockwire and remove the two plugs (15) and the packings (20) from the module (5). Let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Discard the packings (20) and put the plugs (15) in the module (5).
(4) Cut the lockwire and remove the valves (10) and the packings (20).
(5) Discard the packings (20) and put the valves (10) in the module.
(6) Disconnect the drain tubes from the module (5).
(7) Remove the bolts (25), the washers (30), and the nuts (35) that hold the module to the brackets.
(8) Remove the module (5) from the engine.
(9) Install a COVER - PROTECTION on the drain tubes and the reservoir (5) ports.
