A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-51-44-420-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Vibration Sensor Harness 238D0912

NOTE: Refer to the recommended procedure for the installation of the wire harness (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-042).

(1) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors.
(2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
(3) Connect the electrical connector 448VC-A to the pylon junction box. Tighten the connector with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
(4) Put the clamps (25) and (35) on the upper section of the harness (5). Make sure that the other clamps are installed correctly.

NOTE: Detail A shows the most current harness installation. Detail B illustrates the initial harness installation. Refer to the illustrated parts catalog for applicable harness installation configurations.

(5) Attach the clamps (25) and (40) together with the screw (30), the washers (15) and (45) and the nut (20).
(6) Attach the clamp (25) to the bracket with the screw (10), the washer (15) and the nut (20).
(7) Attach the clamps (25) to the brackets with the screws (10) and the washers (15).
(8) Attach the clamps (35) together with the screw (30), the washer (15) and the nut (20).
(9) Attach the clamps (25) and (40) together with the screw (30), the washer (15) and the nut (20).
(10) Put the clamps (25) on the lower section of the harness (5). Make sure that clamps (50) are installed on the thrust reverser harness.
(11) Attach the clamps (25) to the brackets with the screws (10), the washers (15) and the nuts (20).
(12) Attach the clamps (25) and (50) to the brackets with the screws (30), the washers (15) and (45).
(13) TORQUE the screws (10) and (30) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )

(14) TORQUE the nuts (20) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(15) Connect electrical connector 4002EV-A to the No.1 bearing vibration accelerometer. Tighten the connector with you hand plus one-eighth turn.
(16) Examine the harness installation and make sure that all clamps are installed correctly.
