A. Installation of the ECU Channel B Harness 238W0904
NOTE: Refer to the recommended procedure for the installation of the wire harness (Ref. AMM TASK 70-60-00-910-042).
NOTE: To tighten the flip-lock clamps and hinged line blocks, turn the captive screws 1/4 turn clockwise to engage the cam nuts.
   (1) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors.
   (2) Put the electrical harness (5) in position on the engine.
   (3) Connect the electrical connectors 403VC-A and 407VC-A to the pylon junction box. Tighten the connectors with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
   (4) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamp (10) and tighten the captive screws.
   (5) Put the clamps (170) on the left side harness and the clamp (175) on the harness (5).
NOTE: Detail A shows the most current harness installation. Detail B illustrates the initial harness installation. Refer to the illustrated parts catalog for applicable harness installation configurations.
   (6) Attach the clamps (170) and (175) together with the screw (25), the washer (30) and the nut (35).
   (7) Attach the harness (5) to the bracket with the screws (25) and the washers (30).
   (8) Put the clamp (20) on the harness (5) and attach it to the clamp (40) with the screw (25), the washer (30) and the nut (35).
   (9) TORQUE the screws (25) and the nuts (34) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN ) T.
   (10) Put the harness (5) into the flip-lock clamp (45) and tighten the captive screw.
   (11) Put the harness (5) into the rubber insert of the line blocks (65).
   (12) Close the line blocks (65) and tighten the captive screws.
   (13) Attach the harness (5) to the bracket with the clamps (50) and the screw (25).
   (14) Put the harness (5) into the rubber insert of the line block (60).
   (15) Attach the halves of line block (60) to the bracket with the screws (55) and the washer (30).
   (16) TORQUE the screws (25) and (55) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )
T.
   (17) Connect electrical connector 4000JH2-A to the lower ignition exiter. Tighten the connector with you hand plus one-eighth turn.
   (18) Put the clamp (70) on the harness (5). Attach the clamps (70) to the bracket with screw (25), the washer (30).
   (19) TORQUE the screw (25) to between 22 and 20 lbf.in (0.25 and 0.23 m.daN )
T.
   (20) Put the harness (5) into the rubber insert of the line block (85).
   (21) Attach the line block (85) halves together with the screws (80), the washers (30), and the nuts (35). Make sure that the clamp (75) is installed on the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) control harness.
   (22) Put the clamp (75) on the connector 4000KS-J4 wire and clamp (100) on the connector 4000KS-J2 wire.
NOTE: Make sure that connector wires 4000KS-J1, 4000KS-J3 and 4004VC-A are installed in clamp (90).
   (23) Attach the clamps (75), (90) and (100) together with the screw (125), the washers (30) and (95) and the nut (35).
NOTE: The clamp (180) and the clamps shown in Detail F was an installation change to prevent chafing. Initial harness installation did not have clamps at these locations. Refer to the illustrated parts catalog for applicable harness installation configurations.
   (24) TORQUE the nuts (35) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
T.
   (25) Connect the electrical connectors 4000KS-J2 and 4000KS-J4 to the ECU. Tighten the connectors with your hand plus one-eighth turn.
