A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-51-44-865-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:

OPEN THE PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 1DA1(2), 3DA1(2,3), 4DA1(2,3) AND 5DA1(2,3) BEFORE ENG1(2)FADEC A and EIU 1(2) C/B'S 2KS1 AND 2KS2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):- THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
- THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
Subtask 71-51-44-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the IDG Control and Anti-ice Harness 238W0904
(2) Disconnect electrical connector 4005VC-A from the connector 4005VC.
(3) Open the flip-lock clamps (10) and remove the harness (5) from the rubber inserts.
(4) Remove the screws (15), the washers (20) and the clamps (25), (40) and (60) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets. Remove the clamps.
(5) Remove the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50) that attach clamp (55) to clamp (40). Remove the clamp (40) from the harness (5).
(7) Remove the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50) that attach clamp (40) to clamp (25). Remove the clamp (40).
(8) Open the flip-lock clamps (65) and remove the harness (5) from the rubber inserts.
(9) Remove the screws (15), the washers (20), the nuts (50) and the clamps (70) and (75) that attach harness (5) to the ground plate.
(10) Remove the screw (15), the washers (20) and the nut (50) that attach clamp (80) to the bracket. Remove the clamp.
(11) Open the line-blocks (85) and remove the harness (5) from the rubber inserts.
(12) Remove the screw (90), the washer (20), the nut (50) and the clamp (55) that attach the connector 4001VC-A wire to the bracket.
(13) Disconnect the electrical connector 4001VC-A from the interphone jack disconnect.

(14) Remove the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50) that attach the clamp (95) to the bracket near the anti-ice valve. Remove the clamp.

(15) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000DN-A from the anti-ice valve.
(16) Remove the screw (90), the washer (20) and the clamp (25) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket. Remove the clamp.
POST SB RA32071-65
(17) Remove the screw (100), the washer (20), the nut (50) and the clamp (105) that attach the harness (5) to the line block (110).
END OF SB RA32071-65
(18) Disconnect the electrical connectors 4001XU-A , 4000XU-B and 4000XU-C from the integrated drive generator (IDG).
(19) Remove the nuts (115), the lockwashers (120), and the washers (125) that attach the ground wires to the ground studs.
(20) Remove the electrical harness (5) from the engine.
(21) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the electrical connectors that follows:
NOTE: To open the flip-lock clamps and hinged line blocks, turn the captive screws 1/4 turn counterclockwise to disengage the cam nuts.
NOTE: Make sure you loosely install the hardware in the correct location after you remove the harness from the clamps and line blocks.
(1) Disconnect electrical connectors 401VC-A, 404VC-A and 405VC-A from the pylon junction box. (2) Disconnect electrical connector 4005VC-A from the connector 4005VC.
(3) Open the flip-lock clamps (10) and remove the harness (5) from the rubber inserts.
(4) Remove the screws (15), the washers (20) and the clamps (25), (40) and (60) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets. Remove the clamps.
(5) Remove the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50) that attach clamp (55) to clamp (40). Remove the clamp (40) from the harness (5).
NOTE: Detail A shows the most current harness installation that is applicable for some engines. Detail B illustrates the initial harness installation. Refer to the illustrated parts catalog for applicable harness installation configurations.
(6) Remove the screws (30), the washers (20), the spacers (35) and the clamps (40) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets. Remove the clamps. (7) Remove the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50) that attach clamp (40) to clamp (25). Remove the clamp (40).
(8) Open the flip-lock clamps (65) and remove the harness (5) from the rubber inserts.
(9) Remove the screws (15), the washers (20), the nuts (50) and the clamps (70) and (75) that attach harness (5) to the ground plate.
(10) Remove the screw (15), the washers (20) and the nut (50) that attach clamp (80) to the bracket. Remove the clamp.
(11) Open the line-blocks (85) and remove the harness (5) from the rubber inserts.
(12) Remove the screw (90), the washer (20), the nut (50) and the clamp (55) that attach the connector 4001VC-A wire to the bracket.
(13) Disconnect the electrical connector 4001VC-A from the interphone jack disconnect.

(14) Remove the screw (45), the washer (20) and the nut (50) that attach the clamp (95) to the bracket near the anti-ice valve. Remove the clamp.

(15) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000DN-A from the anti-ice valve.
(16) Remove the screw (90), the washer (20) and the clamp (25) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket. Remove the clamp.

(17) Remove the screw (100), the washer (20), the nut (50) and the clamp (105) that attach the harness (5) to the line block (110).

(18) Disconnect the electrical connectors 4001XU-A , 4000XU-B and 4000XU-C from the integrated drive generator (IDG).
(19) Remove the nuts (115), the lockwashers (120), and the washers (125) that attach the ground wires to the ground studs.
(20) Remove the electrical harness (5) from the engine.
(21) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the electrical connectors that follows:
- the IDG
- the anti-ice valve
- the pylon junction box
- the interphone jack
- the electrical harness
