WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. THE OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPECIFIC TRACKING AND CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS OF REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. INCORRECT MAINTENANCE OF THESE COMPONENTS CAN CAUSE A RISK FOR THE FLIGHT SAFETY.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 71-21-41-020-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Make sure that the engine is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-51-000-802).
4. Procedure
WARNING: THE FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 33 KG (72.8 LB). MAKE SURE YOU SAFELY SUPPORT THE FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT AND KEEP IT AWAY FROM OTHER ENGINE COMPONENTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: HOLD THE ENGINE MOUNT TO PREVENT HARD CONTACT WITH THE ENGINE DURING THE STEPS THAT FOLLOW. BE CAREFUL NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE (SCRATCHES) TO THE ENGINE CASE.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE GREASE OR OIL ON ANY PARTS OF THESE ASSEMBLIES. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: FOR EACH WASHER, MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE CORRECT PART NUMBER AT THE CORRECT LOCATION. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE PIN CAN MOVE OUT FROM ITS POSITION.

A. Preparation before Installation
   (1) Make sure that the 636-1000-29GSE ENGINE MOUNT HOISTING DEVICE FWD (14) is installed on the forward mount assembly (13).
     (a) Refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
Subtask 71-21-41-420-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Forward Mount Assembly
   (1) Install the two forward mount thrust-links (Ref. AMM TASK 71-21-41-400-806).
   (2) Locate the shackle and the beam fail-safe-pin on the engine intermediate case.
   (3) Install the shackle lower pins:
     (a) Install the two lower pins (8).
     (b) Install the two stoppers (10).
     (c) Install the two screws (9) across the engine bush and the two stoppers (10).
       1 Install the two screws (9) with the heads up with an angle of 30 degrees maximum to the vertical axis.
     (d) Install the two nuts (11) on the two screws (9).
     (e) TORQUE the two nuts (11) to between 0.36 and 0.28 m.daN (31.86 and 24.78 lbf.in ) T.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
     (f) Install the two new
AIPC 71-21-86-01-130 COTTER PIN (12).
   (4) Install the waiting fail safe pin:
     (a) Put the waiting fail safe pin (4) in position.
     (b) Install the washers (3) and (5), the bolt (2) and the new
AIPC 71-21-86-01-090 NUT (7).
       1 Install the bolt (2) from the right side to the left side.
     (c) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 4.63 and 3.87 m.daN (34.14 and 28.54 lbf.ft )

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
     (d) Install the new
AIPC 71-21-86-01-010 COTTER PIN (6).
     (e) Make sure that the washers (3) and (5) cover fully the shoulder of the bushes.
   (5) Close the heatshield covers (1) over the shackle parts.
Subtask 71-21-41-080-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Removal of the Tool
   (1) Remove the
636-1000-29GSE ENGINE MOUNT HOISTING DEVICE FWD (14) from the forward mount assembly (13).
     (a) Refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
