Subtask 71-21-11-350-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Repair the front mount tube assembly. Do either a polish repair (1) or a blend repair (2) depending upon the damage depth.
   (1) If it has nicks, dents, scratches, scores or wear up to 0.002 in. (0.05 mm) in depth in area C, do the following polish repair:
     (a) Use an ABRASIVE STONE or Waterproof silicon carbide abrasive paper (Material No.V05-019) and Waterproof silicon carbide abrasive paper (Material No.V05-021) and/or a FILE - FINE and remove the high metal (Ref. AMM TASK 70-42-11-300-010).
   (2) If it has nicks, dents, scratches, scores or wear up to 0.0078 in. (0.20 mm) in depth in area C, do the following blend repair:
     (a) Use an ABRASIVE STONE or Waterproof silicon carbide abrasive paper (Material No.V05-019) and Waterproof silicon carbide abrasive paper (Material No.V05-021) and/or a FILE - FINE and blend to remove the damage (Ref. AMM TASK 70-42-11-300-010). The blend depth must not exceed 0.010 in. (0.25 mm). The blend-repaired area is to be 10 times the depth. Ensure no metal chips produced by blending enter the engine.
     (b) Use an ABRASIVE STONE or Waterproof silicon carbide abrasive paper (Material No.V05-019) and Waterproof silicon carbide abrasive paper (Material No.V05-021) and/or a FILE - FINE, and make smooth and polish the repaired area (Ref. AMM TASK 70-42-11-300-010). The surface finish of the repaired area must be the same as the adjacent surface.
