Installation of the Hold Open Rod (HOR) Bracket Bolts

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
Subtask 71-13-86-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open and safetied to the thrust reverser doors with the hold open brace.
   (2) If not, open the fan cowl doors with the sling (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-805).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.
4. Procedure
Subtask 71-13-86-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Hold Open Rod (HOR) Bracket Bolts
   (1) Install the bolts on the HOR brackets on the left side of the engine.
F Left HOR Bracket Bolts ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) If there is no corrosion inhibiting compound (Material No.PU3-0022) on the bolts (1) and (4), apply a layer of corrosion inhibiting compound (Material No.PU3-0022) to the shanks of the bolts (1) and (4).
     (b) Install the bolt (1), washer (2) and nut (3) on the fan cowl HOR bracket.
     (c) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 90 and 75 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.85 m.daN ) T.
     (d) Install the bolt (4), washer (2) and nut (3) on the thrust reverser HOR bracket.
     (e) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 90 and 75 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.85 m.daN )
T.
   (2) Install the bolts on the HOR bracket assemblies on the right side of the engine.
F Right HOR Bracket Bolts ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) If there is no corrosion inhibiting compound (Material No.PU3-0022) on the bolts (12) and (13), apply a layer of corrosion inhibiting compound (Material No.PU3-0022) to the shanks of the bolts (12) and (13).
     (b) Install the bolt (12), washer (11) and nut (10) on the fan cowl HOR bracket.
     (c) TORQUE the nut (10) to between 90 and 75 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.85 m.daN ) T.
     (d) Install the bolt (13), washer (11) and nut (10) on the thrust reverser HOR bracket.
     (e) TORQUE the nut (10) to between 90 and 75 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.85 m.daN )
