(2) Clean the four bolts (2) and four washers (1) with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) made moist withPU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl .
(3) Clean the mating surfaces of the POD housing with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) made moist withPU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl .
(4) Remove thePU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl with a clean, dry lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) before it dries.
(5) Mix thePU4-0002 epoxy primer, fluid resistant or equivalent (Ref. AMM TASK 70-30-00-918-803), PU4-0004A curing solution, epoxy primer and thinner (Material No.PU4-0005) or equivalent (Ref. AMM TASK 70-30-00-918-803). Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer.
(6) Apply a layer of thePU4-0002 epoxy primer, fluid resistant or equivalent (Ref. AMM TASK 70-30-00-918-803) mixture to the mating surface of the POD housing.
(7) Make sure the mixture on the POD housing is on an area that is larger than the POD (3) on the POD housing.
(8) Install the POD (3) on the POD housing with the four bolts (2) and four washers (1).
(a) Wet install the bolts (2) with thePU4-0002 epoxy primer, fluid resistant or equivalent (Ref. AMM TASK 70-30-00-918-803) mixture.
(9) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 90 and 81 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.92 m.daN )

A. Installation of the Fan Cowl Push Open Device (POD) NOTE: The POD is located on the left hand fan cowl of engine No. 1 and the right hand fan cowl of engine No. 2.
(1) Removal of protection covers CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Clean the four bolts (2) and four washers (1) with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) made moist with
