Subtask 71-13-08-941-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(2) Apply a layer of the anti-seize compound (Material No.PU5-0005) or equivalent (Ref. AMM TASK 70-30-00-918-803) to the threads of the bolts (2) and (6) and the nuts (5) and (9).
(3) Install the forward HOR (1) on the fan cowl door. Use the bolt (2), the bushing (3), the two washers (4) and the nut (5).
(4) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 105 and 95 lbf.in (1.19 and 1.07 m.daN )

(5) Install the forward HOR on the engine case. Use the bolt (6), bushing (7), washer (8) and nut (9).
(6) TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 71-13-08-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FAN COWL DOOR IS SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORTED DURING REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION. THE FAN COWL DOOR WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 100 LBS (45.5 KG). IF IT IS NOT SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORTED, INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS CAN OCCUR.
A. Installation of the Forward Fan Cowl Door Hold Open Rods (HOR) NOTE: There is one forward HOR on each fan cowl door. This procedure is for the installation of the forward HOR on the left fan cowl door. The procedure for the installation of the forward HOR on the right fan cowl door is the same.
(1) Removal of the protection covers: CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Apply a layer of the anti-seize compound (Material No.PU5-0005) or equivalent (Ref. AMM TASK 70-30-00-918-803) to the threads of the bolts (2) and (6) and the nuts (5) and (9).
(3) Install the forward HOR (1) on the fan cowl door. Use the bolt (2), the bushing (3), the two washers (4) and the nut (5).
(4) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 105 and 95 lbf.in (1.19 and 1.07 m.daN )
. (5) Install the forward HOR on the engine case. Use the bolt (6), bushing (7), washer (8) and nut (9).
(6) TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 50 and 45 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.51 m.daN )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
