WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the safety devices are on the MLG (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) Put warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the landing gear doors.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 57-51-00-860-056-A (1) Make sure that the safety devices are on the MLG (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) Put warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the landing gear doors.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap 1, zone 581(681)
Subtask 57-51-00-865-075-A (1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap 1, zone 581(681)
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

D. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuator.
4. Procedure(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuator.

- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean:
Subtask 57-51-00-210-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean:
- the inboard actuator drive arm
- the drive strut assembly (track 1)
- the outer part of the flap drive trunnion, the spherical bearing and bonding strap
- the seal assembly at each end of the inboard flap assembly
- the inboard flap upper and lower surfaces.
B. Detailed Inspection of Inboard Flap, Inboard Actuator Drive-Arm, Drive Strut and Outer Part of Trunnion, LH/RH
(1) Use a FLASHLIGHT and a MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE to examine the inboard actuator drive arm and the drive strut assembly (track 1) for:

- cracks
- damage
- corrosion.
- the outer parts of the flap drive trunnion
- the spherical bearing
- the bonding strap
- the seal assembly at each end of the inboard flap.
- loose or missing rivets
- skin distortion
- cracks
- corrosion.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure.
C. Preparation for Inspection

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the MLG door actuator.
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
Subtask 57-51-00-865-099-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the MLG door actuator.
(3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Fully retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
Subtask 57-51-00-942-064-A (1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Fully retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
D. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the safety barriers.
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
