  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 57-51-00-941-076-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the safety devices are on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the landing gear doors.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable zone 571 or 671.
   (2) Remove the MLG Leg Assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-11-000-001).
4. Procedure
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
Subtask 57-51-00-110-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean:
  • The rear pintle pin (1)
  • The greaser plug (2) (with the O-rings (4) removed)
  • The bolt (3)
  • The anti-rotation washer (5) and the half-seals (8) and (9)
  • The circlip (11), the locking washer (12), the nut (13) and the washer (14)
  • The sliding bush (15), the rear pintle mounting structure and the fixed bushes (6), (7) and (10).

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of Outer-Wing Main-Landing-Gear Rear-Pintle-Pin
   (1) Examine the rear pintle pin (1), the greaser plug (2) and the related MLG structural attachments. Make sure that:
  • There is no corrosion or damage
  • There is free movement of the parts that move.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572613 for the correct repair procedures.

C. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean:
  • The rear pintle pin (9)
  • The greaser plug (7) (with the O-rings (8) removed)
  • The bolt (6)
  • The anti-rotation washer (12) and the half-seals (13) and (14)
  • The circlip (1), the locking washer (2), the nut (3)
  • The sliding bush (5), the rear pintle mounting structure and the fixed bushes (10), (11) and (14).

D. Detailed Visual Inspection of Outer-Wing Main-Landing-Gear Rear-Pintle-Pin
   (1) Examine the rear pintle pin (9), the greaser plug (7) and the related MLG structural attachments. Make sure that:
  • There is no corrosion or damage
  • There is free movement of the parts that move.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572613 for the correct repair procedures.

A. Close Access
   (1) Install the MLG Leg Assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-11-400-001).

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the safety barriers.
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
