A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position below wing leading edge, zone 622.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to:
Subtask 57-41-37-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to:
- the shanks of the bolts (4)
- the mating surfaces of the door hinges and the structure.
B. Installation of the Door
(1) Put the door (3) in position on the door frame.
(2) Install the bolts (4).
(3) Install the floodlight 32QU (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-54-400-001).
(4) Slowly close the door (3) and make sure that the refuel/defuel lighting goes off. If not, adjust the micro-switch.
(5) To adjust the micro-switch (2), do these steps:
(a) Loosen the fasteners (5) and remove the panel (6).
(b) Loosen the bolts (1).
(c) Adjust the micro-switch so that the lighting of the refuel/defuel panel is off before the door (3) is closed.
(d) Start closing the door (3) and when almost closed, make sure that the refuel/defuel lighting is off.
(e) When the door (3) operates the light correctly, make sure that the bolts (1) are fully tightened.
(6) Apply a layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) to the head of the bolts (1) and (4).
(7) Install the panel (6) and tighten the fasteners (5).
Subtask 57-41-37-720-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the door (3) in position on the door frame.
(2) Install the bolts (4).
(3) Install the floodlight 32QU (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-54-400-001).
(4) Slowly close the door (3) and make sure that the refuel/defuel lighting goes off. If not, adjust the micro-switch.
(5) To adjust the micro-switch (2), do these steps:
(a) Loosen the fasteners (5) and remove the panel (6).
(b) Loosen the bolts (1).
(c) Adjust the micro-switch so that the lighting of the refuel/defuel panel is off before the door (3) is closed.
(d) Start closing the door (3) and when almost closed, make sure that the refuel/defuel lighting is off.
(e) When the door (3) operates the light correctly, make sure that the bolts (1) are fully tightened.
(6) Apply a layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) to the head of the bolts (1) and (4).
(7) Install the panel (6) and tighten the fasteners (5).
C. Make sure that the door (3) operates correctly.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the door 622KB.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
