A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the lining panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001)

A. Installation of the Window
   (1) Assembly of the window
     (a) Install the seal (9) so that it attaches the inner pane (8) and the outer pane (10).
NOTE: After the assembly, make sure that there is(are) no dust, particles or other contamination between the two panes.
   (2) Installation of the window assembly
     (a) Put the window (5) in position on the frame (6).
     (b) Make sure that the hole (11) in the inner pane of the window (5) is at the bottom.
     (c) Install the screws (1), the washers (2), the retainer (3) and the spacer (4) on the frame (6).
NOTE: Make sure that the retainer (3) is in the correct position.
NOTE: Use the number of spacers that lets you get a seal compression of 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) along the window contour with a TORQUE to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in ) T.
   (3) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in ) T.

B. Inspection
NOTE: The out-of-flush values specified in this procedure are for a new outer pane (acrylic) (thickness of new pane: 5.4 mm (0.2126 in.) to 5.6 mm (0.2205 in.)).
If you install a reworked pane, the maximum out-of-flush values are equal to the specified values minus the thickness of acrylic removed by the rework (maximum rework is 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.)).
   (1) Make sure that the out-of-flush values between the window and the frame are:
     (a) J1 0.5 -1 mm or +1 mm (0.0197 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).
NOTE: For a maximum rework of 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.), the value is:
  • J1 -0.2 -1 mm or +1 mm (-0.0079 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).
     (b) J2 0 -1 mm or +1 mm (0.0000 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).
NOTE: For a maximum rework of 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.), the value is:
  • J2 -0.7 -1 mm or +1 mm (-0.0276 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).
     (c) J3 0.5 -1 mm or +1 mm (0.0197 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).
NOTE: For a maximum rework of 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.), the value is:
  • J3 -0.2 -1 mm or +1 mm (-0.0079 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).
     (d) J4 -1.2 -1 mm or +1 mm (-0.0472 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).
NOTE: For a maximum rework of 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.), the value is:
  • J4 -1.9 -1 mm or +1 mm (-0.0748 -0.0394 in. or +0.0394 in.).

A. Installation of the Lining Panels
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the lining panel 831DZ 841DZ (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-400-001).
   (3) Close the forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).

B. Close Access
   (1) Remove the access platform(s).
