3. Job Set-up
Subtask 55-42-13-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
  • On the ground service panels of the hydraulic systems.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 12M (40 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the leading edge of the rudder.

4. Procedure
Subtask 55-42-13-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Examine the anchor nuts on the access panel (3) for good condition.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area, with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (5) Apply the Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) to the mating surface of the access panel (3) as necessary.
   (6) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the mating surfaces of the rudder leading edge (1) as necessary.

B. Installation of the Access Panel 326CT at the Rudder Attach Fitting No. 7
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Put the access panel (3) in position at the rudder leading edge (1) and install the screws (2).
   (3) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) into the joints between the access panel (3) and the rudder leading edge (1).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
