WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 55-22-11-860-052-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (2) Make sure that the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING is in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
   (3) Make sure that the 98D27309009003 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR or 98D27309009004 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR is installed on the servocontrol elevators.
   (4) Make sure that the warning notices are in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (5) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
   (6) Make sure that the access platforms are in position at zone 330 and/or zone 340.
   (7) Make sure that the THS trailing edge access panels have been removed as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 55-13-11-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 55-22-11-914-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Sealing
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) along the mating surfaces of the leading edge access panels.
   (2) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) along the mating surfaces at the elevator.
Subtask 55-22-11-914-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Sealing
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) along the mating surfaces of the leading-edge access panels.
   (2) Apply the Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) along the mating surfaces of the leading-edge acces panels (1) and (4) at the elevator.

B. Visual Inspection
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

C. Install Access Panels
   (1) Put the leading-edge access panels (1), (2), (3) and (4) in position.
   (2) Install the screws (5).

D. Cleaning
   (1) Clean the gaps around the leading-edge access panels with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Naphta based and Alcohol - (Material No.08BBC1) .

E. Sealing
   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the gap along the mating surfaces of the leading-edge access panels (1), (2), (3) and (4).

   (1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) along the mating surfaces of the leading-edge access panels (1) and (4).

   (1) If removed, install THS trailing edge access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 55-13-11-400-001)

B. Remove Locking Devices
   (1) Remove the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING from the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE THE "COLLAR-ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL SAFETY" BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE THE ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE COLLAR, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL.
   (2) Remove the 98D27309009003 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR or 98D27309009004 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR from the servocontrol elevators.

C. Remove Ground Equipment
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
