B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001)
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons:

not to pressurize the hydraulic systems,
not to operate the flight controls.

(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the trimmable horizontal stabilizer.

4. Procedure
Subtask 55-15-11-020-050-A

A. Removal of the Aprons

CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.

(1) Remove the upper apron 333AT (343AT).
(a) Remove the screws (1) and (2) and the retainer (3).

NOTE: Remove the screws in the sequence as shown

Removal/Installation Sequence of the Screws

Identify the position of the screws for the installation procedure.

(b) Carefully loosen the apron, with a WEDGE - NON METALLIC.
(c) Remove the apron (4).
(d) If necessary remove the screws (10), the cover strip (12) and the seal (14).
(2) Remove the lower apron 333AB (343AB).
(a) Remove the screws (5), (6) and (7) and the retainer (8).

NOTE: Remove the screws in the sequence as shown

Removal/Installation Sequence of the Screws

Identify the position of the screws for the installation procedure.

(b) Carefully loosen the apron, with a WEDGE - NON METALLIC.
(c) Remove the apron (9).
(d) If necessary remove the screws (10), the cover strip (11) and the seal (13).
