3. Job Set-up
Subtask 54-57-22-941-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
   (2) Make sure that engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).

C. Get Access
   (1) Open the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
451AL 452AR
     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
461AL 462AR.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) For the left pylon, in zone 415
     (b) For the right pylon, in zone 425.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Sections
F Sections ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Hold the sections (71), (72), (73), (74), (75) and (76) that are installed on the pylon between RIB06 and RIB1.
   (2) Remove the screws (70).
   (3) Remove the sections (71), (72), (73), (74), (75) and (76) from the pylon between RIB06 and RIB1.
