  • THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
  • COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
Subtask 54-51-18-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Engine Removal
   (1) Remove the engine (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-000-040).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) At zone 410 for the left pylon.
     (b) At zone 420 for the right pylon.
   (2) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
     (a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415AR.
     (b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425AR.

C. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
     (a) At zone 410 for the left pylon.
     (b) At zone 420 for the right pylon.
   (2) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
     (a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415AR 415BL 415BR.
     (b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425AR 425BL 425BR.

F Engine Aft Mount Upper Beam ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
F Engine Aft Mount Upper Beam ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the bolts (1) and the lockwashers (2).
   (2) Remove the nuts (7) and (8), the locking plates (6), the bolts (3) and (4) and the locking plates (5).
   (3) Remove the pylon-to-engine aft attach-fittings (9).
