A. Get access to the damaged sealant.

A. Repair the Sealing
(2) Make a chamfer on the undamaged sealant to give a repair overlap to a minimum width of 12.7 mm (0.5000 in.).
(3) Make the surface of the chamfer rough.
(4) Clean the repair area.
(a) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint free-cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and let it dry.
(5) Use a BRUSH - NON METALLIC apply the Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the repair area with an overlap of the undamaged sealant.
(6) Let the sealant become tack-free.
(8) Apply the Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to the repair area to a width of 25.0 mm (0.9843 in.) around the repair area.
(9) Let the nylon coating cure for a minimum of 1 hour.
(10) If necessary, apply the surface protection (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT USE A METAL SCRAPER TO REMOVE THE UNWANTED MATERIAL. A METAL SCRAPER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE OF THE COMPONENT.
(1) Remove the damaged sealant with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC. (2) Make a chamfer on the undamaged sealant to give a repair overlap to a minimum width of 12.7 mm (0.5000 in.).
(3) Make the surface of the chamfer rough.
(4) Clean the repair area.
(a) Clean the repair area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) or Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint free-cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and let it dry.
(5) Use a BRUSH - NON METALLIC apply the Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the repair area with an overlap of the undamaged sealant.
(6) Let the sealant become tack-free.
WARNING:
DO NOT APPLY ADHESIVE TAPE ON THE PROBES, DUCTS, SENSORS (STATIC, PITOT, TAT, AOA). USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED TOOLS FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE SPECIFIED TOOLS:
(7) Apply masking paper and masking tape to the area adjacent to the repair. - GIVE THE CORRECT PROTECTION TO THE AIRCRAFT EQUIPMENT,
- ARE EASY TO SEE FROM THE GROUND,
- ARE EASY TO REMOVE.
(8) Apply the Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to the repair area to a width of 25.0 mm (0.9843 in.) around the repair area.
(9) Let the nylon coating cure for a minimum of 1 hour.
(10) If necessary, apply the surface protection (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).

A. Removal or Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) Make an entry in the aircraft logbook and attach a tag on the captain side stick to tell the crew that:
