A. Removal of the Gearbox Vent Tube
(1) Remove the gearbox vent tube (Ref. AMM TASK 49-26-55-000-801).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the gearbox vent tube (Ref. AMM TASK 49-26-55-000-801).

A. Cleaning of the Gearbox Vent Tube
(1) Clean the gearbox vent tube and its union fittings to make sure there is no blockage.
(a) Spray the tube and fittings externally and internally with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) .
(2) Dry the gearbox vent tube.
(3) If the vent tube and/or the union fittings are damaged or cleaning is not possible, replace the vent tube and/or the union fittings (Ref. AMM TASK 49-26-55-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 49-26-55-400-801).
5. Close-up(1) Clean the gearbox vent tube and its union fittings to make sure there is no blockage.
(a) Spray the tube and fittings externally and internally with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) .
(2) Dry the gearbox vent tube.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR:
(a) Use a BLOWING EQUIPMENT - DRY AIR to blow clean compressed air until the gearbox vent tube is free of moisture. Use a maximum pressure of 2 bar (29 psi). - USE THE CORRECT PROTECTION (FACE SHIELD OR GOGGLES)
- DO NOT POINT THE AIRFLOW AT YOURSELF OR OTHER PERSONS.
(3) If the vent tube and/or the union fittings are damaged or cleaning is not possible, replace the vent tube and/or the union fittings (Ref. AMM TASK 49-26-55-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 49-26-55-400-801).
