A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
Subtask 49-17-00-010-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the APU compartment.
   (2) Open APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
   (3) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the ON position.
4. Procedure
Subtask 49-17-00-210-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. General Visual Inspection of APU Compartment Drain System
   (1) Clean the area around the drain holes with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) .
   (2) Examine the drain holes for blockage. If necessary, remove the blockage.
   (3) If you find blockage into the drain mast, use a PROBE - NON METALLIC, FLEXIBLE to make sure that the drain pipe is not blocked.
   (4) If the drain pipe is blocked, remove the blockage.
   (5) Make sure that the drains are not blocked:
     (a) Put water in the area of the drain hole and make sure that the water flows freely at the drain mast outlet.
   (6) Make sure that the drain mast is correctly aligned.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
   (3) Close APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).

   (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
