A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on overhead control and indicator panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.
Subtask 49-00-00-020-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL Subtask 49-00-00-950-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on overhead control and indicator panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.
C. Electrical Cables Protection
(1) Remove the electrical cables from the starter motor and the generator cables from their temporary position (related forward Left Hand (LH) and Right Hand (RH) tie rods).
(2) Put the COVER - PLASTIC around the cables to prevent unwanted humidity when you do the cleaning.
(3) Put the COVER - PLASTIC around the electrical harness connections located at the front firewall (FR80) to prevent the unwanted humidity when you do the cleaning.
4. Procedure(1) Remove the electrical cables from the starter motor and the generator cables from their temporary position (related forward Left Hand (LH) and Right Hand (RH) tie rods).
(2) Put the COVER - PLASTIC around the cables to prevent unwanted humidity when you do the cleaning.
(3) Put the COVER - PLASTIC around the electrical harness connections located at the front firewall (FR80) to prevent the unwanted humidity when you do the cleaning.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT POINT THE SPRAY INTO THE APU INTAKE-DUCT.
WATER CAN GO INTO THE FELT METAL AND FREEZE. THIS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INTAKE DUCT AND MAKE IT UNSERVICEABLE.
Subtask 49-00-00-160-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Cleaning of the APU Compartment and the Removed APU Access Doors
(1) Make a solution of 50 per cent water and 50 per cent Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Gel Type - (Material No.08ABD1) in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(2) Apply the solution with the SPONGE on the walls of the APU compartment and the removed APU access doors (doors).
(4) Flush the surface with warm clean water.
Subtask 49-00-00-160-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make a solution of 50 per cent water and 50 per cent Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Gel Type - (Material No.08ABD1) in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(2) Apply the solution with the SPONGE on the walls of the APU compartment and the removed APU access doors (doors).
NOTE: On the doors, apply the solution only on the walls related to the APU compartment room.
(3) Let the solution stay on the surface for 20 minutes. (4) Flush the surface with warm clean water.
B. Alternative Procedure
(1) Spray the solution (50 per cent water and 50 per cent Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Gel Type - (Material No.08ABD1) ) with the SPRAYING EQUIPMENT - LOW PRESSURE on the APU compartment and the removed doors.
(3) Flush the surface with the CLEANING EQUIPMENT - STEAM (temperature 70 DEG.C (158.00 DEG.F)) at the lowest pressure.
Subtask 49-00-00-620-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Spray the solution (50 per cent water and 50 per cent Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Gel Type - (Material No.08ABD1) ) with the SPRAYING EQUIPMENT - LOW PRESSURE on the APU compartment and the removed doors.
NOTE: On the doors, apply the solution only on the walls related to the APU compartment room.
(2) Let the solution stay on the surface for 20 minutes. (3) Flush the surface with the CLEANING EQUIPMENT - STEAM (temperature 70 DEG.C (158.00 DEG.F)) at the lowest pressure.
C. Apply Special Materials
(1) Examine, and repair if necessary, the remaining layers of the subsequent areas and components (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002):

A. Installation of Components
(1) Remove the COVER - PLASTIC from the electrical cables.
(2) Remove the COVER - PLASTIC from the electrical harness connections.
(3) Install the electrical cables with the TIE WRAP(S) in their temporary position (forward LH and RH tie rods).
(4) Install the Power Plant (APU) (APS 3200) (Ref. AMM TASK 49-11-11-400-003).
Subtask 49-00-00-860-207-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the COVER - PLASTIC from the electrical cables.
(2) Remove the COVER - PLASTIC from the electrical harness connections.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(3) If you used the SAFETY BARRIER(S), remove them.
