Installation of the Bleed-Air Precooler-Exchanger Cold-Inlet
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

YOU MUST NOT TOUCH HOT PARTS WITHOUT APPLICABLE GLOVES. HOT PARTS CAN CAUSE AN INJURY.

- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS

A. Removal of the Component
(1) Make sure that the bleed-air precooler exchanger is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-000-804).

Subtask 36-11-44-420-052-A
A. Installation of the Bleed-Air Precooler-Exchanger Cold-Inlet
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the seals (2) and (4) of the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1):
(4) Install the seal (2) on the structure (3).
(5) Put the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1) in position on the fan air valve (5) through the structure (3).
(6) Make sure that there is no clearance between the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1) and the seal (2).
Subtask 36-11-44-420-053-A (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the seals (2) and (4) of the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1):
- If the seal (2) is damaged, discard and replace it with a new AIPC 36-11-86-50-400 SEAL (2) or AIPC 36-11-86-51-390 SEAL (2).
- If the seal (4) is damaged, discard and replace the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1) with a new AIPC 36-11-86-50-410 BLEED-AIR PRECOOLER-EXCHANGER COLD-INLET (1) or AIPC 36-11-86-51-400 DIFFUSER (1).
NOTE: The seal (4) is part of the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1).
(3) Make sure that the seal (4) is installed correctly in the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1). (4) Install the seal (2) on the structure (3).
(5) Put the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1) in position on the fan air valve (5) through the structure (3).
(6) Make sure that there is no clearance between the bleed-air precooler-exchanger cold-inlet (1) and the seal (2).
B. Installation of the Component
(1) Install the bleed-air precooler exchanger (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-400-804).
