4. Procedure
Subtask 34-22-23-869-052-A
A. Standby Compass to Zero Correction (for Aircraft with Standby Compass P/N PGA0105W installed)
   (1) On the standby compass:
     (a) Put the CE2-40 KEY-CORRECTOR into the B hole above the display window.
  • Use the non-magnetic corrector key to set the B corrector system to zero. Look through the correction window on the top of the standby compass to do this.
     (b) Put the CE2-40 KEY-CORRECTOR into the C hole above the display window.
  • Use the non-magnetic corrector key to set the C corrector system to zero. Look through the correction window on the top of the standby compass to do this.

B. Installation of the Standby Compass
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the compass structure assembly (5) is disengaged from its support (2).
   (4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Make sure that the electrical connector (1) is clean and in the correct condition.
   (6) Install the standby compass (3) in the correct position on the compass structure assembly (5).
   (7) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the standby compass (3).
   (8) Install the four screws (4).
     (a) Tighten the four screws (4).
   (9) Install the access panel assembly 211MC (6) in the correct position on the compass structure assembly (5).
   (10) Install the four screws (7).
     (a) Tighten the four screws (7).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Test
   (1) Do the compensation adjustment/test of the standby compass
(Ref. AMM TASK 34-22-00-730-001).
   (2) Do the operational test of the instrument and panel integral lighting
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-00-710-001)

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Push on the access panel assembly 211MC (6) to engage the compass structure assembly (5) in the support (2).
